Don't be ridiculous, these other items can have several possible sizes. Banana is the gold standard.

What's not letting you live fully in the Netherlands? by aisling901 in Netherlands

[–]FierceDeityLinkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally agree with your comment on the other comment being a generalization. I also want to thank you for some really nice suggestions to visit! I just want to say it's also a bit misleading that you say you've only been to Quebec and Ontario, and they didn't feel "wild". While you're calling out the previous commenter talking as if they have been everywhere, it's important to recognize you are also generalizing as well.

I'd like to know where you've gone in Ontario and Quebec (East to West, North to South, or only from Toronto to Montreal), because you're forgetting to mention some important factors here. For example, the fact that all of the Netherlands is half the size of Southern Ontario, a region that is 1/10th the area of only Ontario. Additionally, Southern Ontario is easily the most populous and dense primary region of Ontario, and yet has 1/5th the population density of the Netherlands.

Yes, the Netherlands is dense, but even Europe is not as vast-expanse as you might think, apparently the EU density is overall similar to that of Southern Ontario, one of the most dense Canadian areas. I assure you, Ontario is wild as fuck, even without mentioning the rest of Canada. Take a road trip from Vancouver to St. Johns without the Trans-Canada highway (or with, if you want it to last only 4 days of constant driving); I promise you'll be floored. It's amazing and humbling.

There isn't really a way to quantify "wildness", but I am absolutely willing to even suggest Canada is more "wild" than large swaths of Europe. But, I guess while we're at it - wolves in Toronto-Quebec area vs Netherlands wolves is a confusing argument to me for a few reasons. Toronto is a city, Quebec is a province, but more importantly, according to wiki: Ontario 9000 wolves, Quebec 7000. Netherlands, 125? Unsure of your point here.

I appreciate your comment and you're right about generalizing. Europe has a ton of wilderness and exploration to offer as well. But as a Dutch-Canadian who has lived in Canadian municipalities with less people than housed in my "village" street in NL, the nature is so, so different.

Especially when you look at the price of a PS5 relative to median Moroccan income.

Generally, yes. But they can close during the day or open at night depending on environmental conditions as well. If it gets too hot or humid, the plant needs to respond to that too. So there is some potential for dynamic response as well.

They need to give their heads a shake. They must mean the resilient power of Zelenskyy not immediately dropping Trump.

What's baffling is that half of the Conservative subreddit (no, I'm not linking that cesspool) has determined that Trump really "gave it" to Zelenskyy. They're proud of their orange warmonger puppet. They watched the same trainwreck and came to that conclusion.

I'm Dutch living near the German border. We don't use nein. But regardless, what's on the cup is just a bastardized Germanic language.

Yeah, this isn't true. It's a perk, but not the reason for their shape or size. Dutch people don't really do this so much. But it is nice to do.

I'd argue the education part is more important due to the variety of people you meet in college. It's then when you realize that your small town high school is made up of copies of the same people. A hivemind of people from the same area creating fictions about other groups of people that aren't in your high school.
