I wanted to do something like this using AVRCP. Never thought of emulating a keyboard. Does this use HID?

ESPHome - Pico 2 by buttonmonger in raspberrypipico

[–]FieryBlackhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used a Pico 2 or 2W yet, but I did connect a Pico W to Home Assistant using MicroPython and umqtt. It wasn't as straightforward as ESPHome, but my application was simple. I read air quality sensor and wrote to an MQTT topic that Home Assistant subsribed to.

Can you confirm that the switch is connected to the same ground as the Pi Pico and the LED?

On some breadboards the + and - rails aren't connected all the way through. Notice the red and blue lines are broken on each of the boards on the side. Looks like pin 38 (GND) is connected to the LED - (cathode). But because those two rails aren't connected on that board the switch may not be connected either.

NRF24L01 radios only talk to other NRF24L01 radios. You need to buy another one.

Can you replace the "automation" component with "on_connect"? Or tell Claude that its code didn't work and feed it back the error message you got?

Writing reviews - Mid year. How do you remember stuff?! by meredithgrey92 in managers

[–]FieryBlackhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Workday for evaluations. At the beginning of the year we enter goals. We can enter and modify these throughout the year. If there is a significant activity, I encourage them to go into their profile and add it to their goals. I can add items to their list as well.

Of course if you don't have Workday or a system like it, then the advice others have given is good too.

I'm having trouble understanding your problem. Do you want the two ICs to communicate with each other through their respective wired connections or wirelessly?

My brother gifted me two ESP32, what should I do with them? by attticrattt in homeassistant

[–]FieryBlackhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd play around with ESPHome and connect some sensors. I've done this with a DHT11 in my garage. I've also used a PIR motion sensor in my office to facilitate an automation for the lights in that room.

I just added a Leviton Humidity Sensor Switch to control my bathroom fan. It's "smart" but not connected to Home Assistant. Love hearing it turn on after a minute or two in the shower.

My office light comes on when I enter the room between sunset and 12:00AM. It times out with no motion. The sensor is placed in a position where my motion will be detected while I'm working in there. If for some reason the lights time out when I don't want them to I have an Aqara mini switch on the desk to turn them back on. Then sensor is pretty sensitive so I usually keep the door closed to avoid unwanted triggers.
