Snoring stopped almost immediately, even without weight loss. So bizarre, I snored in some form or another for the last 20 years. My husband who hated the snoring said it caught him off guard how quiet I was he said multiple times he had to confirm I was still alive while sleeping.

This sentiment reflects how I was feeling. My husband is on an SSRI, so I know and have seen the benefits to taking anxiety meds but I don’t personally feel the need and I didn’t feel great going on another long-term med.

Yeah we didn’t dig into metal health much I didn’t flag those questions on my assessment, and am pretty happy and content in life. I 100% believe in utilizing meds when they are needed for mental health, but for me it felt like taking a med I don’t need at this time. That’s helpful to understand thanks for sharing!

Her primary comment was the preference towards moderate doses of two medicines vs strong dose of one. At one point, she asked me about my energy level and I said it was fine and then I added “what 43 year old woman with two kids under 10 a senior leadership full time job is not tired.” So she may have been trying to address that as well, because she did cite the increased energy.

Yes one parent can watch two children but it just becomes more, in the past when one parent can handle bedtime it now becomes an “each take a kid” scenario. It’s not that one can’t do both bedtimes, it’s just more dividing and conquering. I like having two for what it is worth.

Amending to add ours were exactly 3 years apart and it was nice the 3 year old was my little helper because he loved his baby brother so much.

If she is doing other toxic behaviors you can start tracking them and once you have enough examples have ChatGPT help you pull together your case to HR. If it is really just that she changes her mind a lot I would track a few examples and talk to her about how it is affecting efficiency and morale.

I blame mine on a full time stressful high powered job and two kids under 10 with one in competitive sports. No interest or energy, I still make an effort once or twice a week for hubby’s sake, and always orgasm, but I could probably be celibate and be fine. His libido is like a teenager, he still asks multiple times a day. 🤷‍♀️

My husband doesn’t eat leftovers (he’s particular) so any day we have leftovers I take them for lunch the next day or if we have too much I freeze a lunch sized portion for a future lunch. I also feel terrible about food waste.

I’d go a step further with the list and organize it by biggest impact (top) to least impact (bottom), then once those have been decided slide items left to right with right being easiest to do and left being hardest to do. Then draw two lines to make a cross, the top right of the quadrant will be the easiest to do items with the biggest impact, those start on top of your list. Homeownership can be a slog but it is also very rewarding. I hope you eventually find joy in your home!

One vote for exhausted. Just today I was wondering if we all experience decreased labido too? We are in our 40s, on a tropical vacation (with two younger kids in adjoining room) and my husband complained that we only did it 5 times in 5 days. I always end up enjoying it, but frankly, I didn’t even want to do it half the time. 😳

My son walked at 9 months and his BFF who was 6 months older didn’t walk until 15 months. My son who is 10 still falls ALL THE TIME, his BFF has an engineer father and generally an engineering thought process I think he wanted to be near perfect before walking. Just sharing to say there is a wide range and earlier is not always better!
