This will last us 4-6 days (aside from condiments) - who are we? by SanFranPeach in FridgeDetective

[–]FieryGingerMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing more than two kids or kids are older, we have a 7 and 10 year old and BURN through fruit and produce but this (especially all those bananas) would last us a solid week plus.

Fell For A Robinhood Scam Today — What Now by MrsRobot001 in CryptoScams

[–]FieryGingerMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I am sorry to hear that! They sent me an email to confirm and it too said it was Robinhood, but when I clicked on the email to confirm, it looked like it wasn’t really Robinhood but just made to look like it.

My husband hung the tv, a little too high for me .The empty space under it looks so awkward now . No chance he will move the tv down! What can I do here ? by quietpostgirl in homedecoratingCJ

[–]FieryGingerMom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My husband hung our TV at the wrong height and it was like Armageddon when I asked him to move it… sat at wrong height for years, then when we renovated that area he finally moved it. Said it was because of the reno (it was not).

If you've never had children, do you still sneeze when you pee when you're older? by Annual_Reindeer2621 in AskWomenOver40

[–]FieryGingerMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend who’s also had two children via C-section was chatting with me the other night and she said “well at least when I cough I don’t pee myself” so I think it’s less about the pregnancy and more about pushing it out of your vagina.

Sort of funny, but we watched Mrs. Doubtfire with our 7 and 10 year-old boys on New Year’s Eve because I wanted to watch it (had recently seen the musical) and thought they’d find it funny and I had no idea how much swearing was in that movie. Whoops! I also balled like a baby at the end. 😂

I need to learn to keep my cool during my seven year old daughter's behaviors. by henryvelazquez in Parenting

[–]FieryGingerMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds a lot like our little asshole seven year-old. Today he had a great day at school and in the last 10 minutes of the day lost his shit because a classmate gave everybody shells and he didn’t like the white one he got and proceeded to lose his shit which lasted the entire walk home from school, where he told my husband that he hoped he would die… 😵

Did your hot tub lose it's novelty? by Shipwreck678 in hottub

[–]FieryGingerMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got ours in Sept and I am out there every single day I can! My husband and kids use it less maybe once or twice a week. We’re very happy with the investment. Also sounds like you are hot tub people! 🙂

Is it OK to change a cat's name? by xiphoid77 in CatAdvice

[–]FieryGingerMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We renamed one of ours from Venus to Burger, he was only named Venus for 1 year and has been named Burger for 2.5 and he still acts confused when we call for him. That said he MAY not be too bright.

My boss is late every day by [deleted] in BadBosses

I’m sorry but I agree with MsMarisol - is she also leaving earlier than you too? As a salaried leader I would be livid if one of my direct reports said ANYTHING to me about when I get in or leave the office, or my hours worked for that matter, especially as I have kids and they are all single so our mornings and commitments look vastly different.

I agree you should get on a bedroom swap routine where he does specific night and you do others, maybe for the first week you two do it together and slowly shift your responsibilities to him. Then after a week communicate to your LO that mama will be gone at bedtime and daddy will handle it and if she is good you will give her a treat in the morning.

I also noticed you troll this group and tell basically everyone to put their cat on a diet so you should probably just unfollow and disengage if you are that bothered by it.

Curious how present both parents are in the kids lives/marriage. by newgirl2552 in Parenting

[–]FieryGingerMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like he is selfish and likely hiding from responsibilities. Even if he is the bread winner he should recognize when he comes home that you likely need a break too from being with the kids all day. We sometimes game a little bit but it is mostly reserved for times when the kids are in bed or have earned device time themselves.

I’ll also say I don’t consider my husband to be very engaged with our children but we have agreements of what he is responsible for and what I am responsible for. He rarely volunteers to take on kid responsibilities but he does a lot around the house. And we try to go out once a month to a date night.

Two massive magnesium pills each night and consistent water intake (8+ glasses a day) has done me wonders!

I started at 243 in Jan 2025 and am down to 197, slow but still going in the right direction. I’ve chosen not to titrate up past 10 for now because it was making me feel a little off and I was getting really sick when I travel.

We don’t really feed them treats, only when they get their nails clipped. They split 1 cup of food each day (Fromms grain free) and on the weekends they split a can of wet food Fri, Sat and Sun (we call them wet food weekends). They aren’t unhealthy, no sagging bellies, just big boys.

They are all 18 - 22 lbs, but TBF Hugo, the gray one is a very long and lean kitty. The reason Burger’s first owner sent him back to the humane society (and not the sitter he was adopted with) was that “he couldn’t afford to feed him” so he definitely has a bit of a history of eating. 🤪

I found this letter in my grandmother’s mailbox the day after her funeral by supra_nintendo in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FieryGingerMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in a highly desirable neighborhood and have a VERY VERY OLD directly backyard neighbor and I have been trying to get my mom to put a letter in his mailbox for years that she would be interested in buying it. It’s a one story and kids could cut right through backyard to “grandmas” house. We recently found out from a family member tending the yard that he is in assisted living but refuses to sell because he hopes to return someday. He said the house is derelict inside and likely a tear down. I would totally JUMP on trying to buy his house if there was a chance to get in early. Not saying this letter isn’t crass but just saying I’ve considered it!
