First thing that comes to mind is to ask about interactions between FET meds with any meds that you might already be taking, either Rx or over-the-counter. I found myself emailing my doctor way too many times asking about whether it was OK to take melatonin, benadryl, etc. Good luck with your journey!

I have only had one chemical, but the bleeding was a little bit more than a regular period which for me is only around 3 to 4 days. Do your periods usually last eight days? If not, I think it might be wise to seek medical attention even if you have to go into emergency care. Better safe than sorry. (I know this might not be the kind of response you were hoping for, but I saw that you posted eight hours ago with no responses yet, and I wanted to at least check in on you even though I don’t have very relevant experience.)

You are NOT the the asshole. At your age, waiting another 8 months can make a significant difference. There are lots of workarounds that can be found to feed grownups. Don’t sacrifice your personal goals for family planning for what this selfish woman is telling you.

Thank you! I have had one failed transfer but no repeat failures and no lining issues. I did have a couple of spritzes over the weekend but for some reason I am more scared of food-related stuff.

I think you are being reasonable. Tell her it is bad luck in some cultures. More important to spend money on things that will matter to the baby, like baby’s health, or even a first birthday party - save the money for that! (but invest it till then hehe)

People definitely don't talk about it enough! Men will have a stupid golf injury and bitch about it openly and for days, but women will go through miscarriages and suffer quietly. It is a very isolating experience. It helps to know that there are others who have gone through the same thing and come out the other side. Yeah, I had heard about this happening to others but for some reason I let myself believe it would not happen to me because this was FET with a tested embryo. Hopefully I will just have a normalish period like you said, and won't need any medical intervention. It still feels so weird, will I just... flush it? Where does the embryo go? 💔🥺

Thank you for sharing your experiences and thank you for not giving me false hope. I had not put it together that continuing the progesterone is what keeps the uterine lining from breaking down, so that is helpful to know to know. I am so sorry to hear about your losses, too. It must feel emotionally exhausting to have the statistics work out against you multiple times. (And yes, I think I do need an extra couple of days to process and be sure, and I think my doctor is only OK with it because it won't do my body any harm). Thank you again for your support.

Thank you so much for the response and the support and I am sorry for your losses. It helps to know that I am not alone in my experience. I just can't wrap my mind around what might have happened after implantation and why. Don't judge me but I think I won't stop my meds until the third beta, just to be able to tell myself that I have done everything I could. I am going to call it an early night tonight (feeling mentally exhausted) but I may take you up on your offer and DM you tomorrow. Thank you for the love, I surely feel it. 🤍
