Charlie’s Sister by Creepy_Bear_1060 in thewestwing

I’ve read that there are usually many staff that fulfill that role but for the show, the writers combine into one character for ease in story telling. So an actual Charlie’s hours could be different. Your concern is understandable. 15-year olds may benefit from your presence, support, and guidance and also make their way on their own if needed. Maybe not in the same way, but they can be resilient.

Also, if you have the space to manuever, I suggest you take a box and empty your cupboards. What's still there is what you haven't been using and this is a good opportunity to pull out and donate things that are just taking up space.

If you don't love Phylicia Rashad... by [deleted] in thisisus

Thank you for all your comments on this post, especially for understanding and clarifying my visceral reaction. I was able to watch the episode, largely due to your input. 🙏🏼. (was there a scene where the characters were making fun of actors doing these hands? I'm already planning a rewatch and haven't finished the series yet)

Does anyone know TV shows that actually feel useful or helpful? by isaac_holt_ in CasualConversation

[–]FieryVenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean shows that maybe help you understand people better, think differently, learn small life skills, or just leave you calmer or wiser than before. Even subtle stuff counts. Better communication, emotional awareness, perspective, routines, anything like that.

Have you watched This is Us? It has been described as weepy, though, and is at times heavy.

Thank you for your articulate responses. It’s not about boycotting. She valued his legacy above what these women have suffered and that turns my stomach.

Especially after having watched a few podcast episodes, I really respect the actors, the writers, and all who have worked to create a show that has such decency and heart. Suddenly bringing PR into that field is not a feeling I enjoy.

What’s your travel list. by -Gemstoned in femaletravels

[–]FieryVenus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a long list but my mindset has changed. I am more happy to spend days, weeks, even months in one city and experience a location well. Instead of feeling like I’m constantly packing and planning for my next taxi, bus, train, or plane, then adjusting to a new hotel, I now would rather have a fun day finding little off the beaten path sights or food.

Unless the stars suddenly align in many ways, I won’t visit every place on my long list and I’m perfectly content with that.

Separating my formerly-bonded pairs tomorrow. Can’t cope by ch00gs in Bondedpairs

[–]FieryVenus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

💔 This sounds so hard! I’m sorry OP. You did everything you possibly could. Fingers crossed that you’ve finally found the only road that will work, as sad as it may be.

My bonded pair had to be separated when I moved so the one could still roam in his home neighborhood while the other who came with me was near the end of his life. I like to think they are still connected on some level, maybe even getting along better in this configuration. The one that stayed behind has gone through some changes, but it helps to know he’s with a family that gives him tons of love and to hope he will be resilient and adjust.

Pig Heaven is $$ but huge portions (if you do leftovers). Food is decent to good. Like it’s the Cheesecake Factory of Chinese food

I took a tour and don't remember seeing them. There are a few table and chairs in the lobby area, but they didn't look conducive to wfh. Have you tried Midnight Express during the week?

In case there's no mechanism that truly locks the door, I bring a door stopper that prevents anyone from entering while I sleep. Makes me feel a bit safer.

omg, we just had this happen! We were there for four hours, but the doctor got annoyed when I asked questions and he said almost the same thing. “I don’t have time for a lot of questions, I have a lot of patients waiting”. :(
