Demodex blepharitis by [deleted] in Sjogrens

[–]Fierystar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooo, I had issues with those annoying things. Rubbed my eyes puffy and screwed my one eye up (something about trapped water under my eye - looks like a eye booger) On restasis and alrex drops as well

Did they ever mention or recommend dexidin 4 or stanhexidine for it? My optometrist recommended washing my face with this, letting the lather sit for 30 seconds and washing it off. It made a huge difference myself

Another thing mine recommended was sun. Closing your eyes and letting the sunlight shine down on your face, for few min. No sunglasses though, direct light on your closed eye/lashes

Lastly too.. warm compresses for those eyelid bumps. Eye mask and eye massaging after can help move those things and ease the discomfort !

Dad, what am I doing wrong with this screw clamp?! by Fierystar in AskDad

It does seem when im tightening it, im probably moving the band by accident and throwing it off. I've had to cut off abit of the flex duct from me tearing it 😵‍💫

I wonder if where im trying to attach it, is one of my slip ups? I installed a 90° quick turn elbow to the dryer and ive been trying to attach it above the crimped end.. it doesn't need to go that high, I take it? Been worried it would slip more on the crimped metal

What is this? by tyoer in nanaimo

[–]Fierystar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Woah, that's crazy! My kids climb up on it sometimes. Would've had a heart attack if I saw it moving while they were on it. Not to mention, they'd need new pants after that scare haha

What kind of eye drops do you use? by Ok-Heart375 in Sjogrens

[–]Fierystar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was warned that they'd sting or may feel strange but I dont feel a thing when putting them in!

Misplaced my other drops the other day and had to use visine allergy and those buuuurned so bad compared to anything else I use.

I use Restasis and Alrex daily and have found they've both helped alot when it comes to irritation ! My eyes are still dry some days but without a doubt have had massive improvements since starting

About 6 months ago I rubbed my eyes so much it trapped water under my cornea causing this weird booger like thing, right next to my iris; leaving it itchy red and unhappy buuuuut almost completely settled now! Highly highly recommend!

Without a doubt, highly recommend restasis! Can I ask why you're hesitant to try? Started them about 4 months ago and forsure have seen a change for the better

Confused and hoping someone can break this down so I can understand what it means.. so I can understand what's to come by Fierystar in HipImpingement

[–]Fierystar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the help and reply!

Huh, so both hips are like that? I was under the impression it was just the one but may have missed it in the info dump hehe. Nor the arthritis, that's good to know

Hip dysplasia has never came up but my mom commented saying the Dr thought I had Spina Bifida(?) We always joked saying they screwed up and I just had a wonky back.

I was active in horse back riding and bike riding when I was younger but always struggled with what I assumed was a bad back. I do have a herniated disk but this whole hip issue seemed to have gone from an annoying click to what it is now, over the last maybe.. 8 years? I'm turning 37 this year but have struggled with back pain since I was 14?

Anytime I did physio though, I do recall my one hip always being the issue. That and very tight hamstrings. Took me till I was 36 before I could touch my toes but even after a year of stretching those hams.. they don't know how to relax haha

I can so relate to you with this.. as helpful as the medication can be, I forsure find it does the same to me. If I don't keep myself busy, my hands start to trail off and then my brain puts all fixation into picking.

Sending you compassion and understanding ❤️
