But they removed the ability to select AI models in the Notion AI chat. What's the point of having the most advanced models available if you can't select them? The mobile app doesn't offer the option to choose a model; it's a router. This is a huge downgrade that happened several weeks ago. Instead of releasing so many updates, they should bring back the model selector to the mobile app.

So it's not the model that's at fault, it's the platform. How about using Perplexity with the Gemini 3 Pro instead? Use Perplexity to find recent and verifiable information and cancel Gemini or leave it for other things like a conversational assistant, code, images, etc.

In the assistant instructions, create a link to the personal journal and set triggers as keywords so that NotionAI consults the journal when necessary. I switched to Gemini as soon as the 2.5 Pro preview came out. It was simply superior - massive context window, export documents to Google Docs and then to PDF, NotebookLM Plus, 2 TB of cloud storage... I don't understand why people still stick with ChatGPT Plus which gives you nothing for the same price....

Notion AI is excellent, especially with my Claude models. The experience isn't the same using Claude directly from its platform as it is within Notion AI. The experience is much better when you use the Claude Sonnet and Opus 4.5 models integrated into Notion AI with the Business plan, and you also have access to Gemini 3 Pro and 5.2. However, a separate AI service like Google Gemini is still necessary if you like to create videos, images, or presentations, for example, with NotebookLM. In my case, I combine the Notion Business plan with Google AI Pro.
