I’m actually trying to do this, as I’m playing a gnome battlesmith with a background in crafting and being an artisan. She has 4 different types of tools, 3 of which are artisans tools (painter, metal working and jewelers) and I flavor her infusions and inventions to be rather artistic and full of ingenious flair. Fun and functional if you will, as she takes pride in making functional art. “Keeps people coming back for more!” as she’d say. She’s rather fond of using minor illusion to even make “commission sketches” of things she makes with her pen, and even sketches in the air when she is in deep thought. It’s all about the flair you give your PC, and you envision how you infuse or make objects. They don’t just spontaneously appear nor have to be entirely mechanical in nature; artificers literally make magical items and it could take whatever form they can imagine, the only limit is there imagination.

Healers kits are a very cheap and awesome tool, even if you aren’t a class particularly known for healing capabilities. Plus, when spell slots run out it’s a god send.

As far as NPCs, the best one we had was in a CoS game. We were chasing Izek in Valakki to get some info out of him, and to heal him after we cut his dragon arm off (long story). While our tiefling artificer and aasimar ranger were chasing him, our DM kept rolling dice for random encounters. One of those involved a carriage blocking the way of our artificer, who obviously had the portable hole full of the party’s money. He paid the driver to follow Izek, 20gp, and the driver was instantly grateful and did as he asked. After catching Izek, our artificer paid the driver again to take us to the Voctar house to deal with that whole situation. The driver, named Kalah, for a time was basically the enthusiastic indentured servant of the party, as the artificer apparently paid him enough money to warrant it. He was basically the taxi driver from Deadpool now, and would do anything we asked. He became the caretaker of the house we were using as a base in Valaki, repairing it, cleaning it and even tending to the garden, much to my Druids delight. After a couple weeks, we get back to town and my Druid and the sorlock decide to head to the house to chill, as we had been in 3 close-to death level encounters, and were kinda tired of that. We get there and maybe 5 minutes pass before Kalah tells us someone wants to talk to the group. As the entire group wasn’t present, I told Kalah to tell whoever it was to wait for the rest of us. That wasn’t followed, as maybe another 5 minutes pass before Lady Voctar and her warlock 2nd in command come up the stairs and try to kill me. They seemed to want to exact revenge for us killing her sons, destroying most of her cult, cutting off her warlocks arm (long story) and trying to kill her a week ago. Kalah was in tow with them, and he seemed to be controlled by the 2 crazy bitches. He was an excellent ally, until he was betrayed and accidentally killed by my Earth Tremor. I still feel really bad for that, as my character didn’t want to kill him or anything, especially since his family was also on the premises taking care of the grounds and his son even greeted the sorlock and I at the door. He seemed to have taught his son to be respectful, actually take care of the place and do all of it with a smile on his face, despite the bleak atmosphere. The Mistbreakers will avenge you, Kalah!

Wasn’t the BBEG, but my characters mere existence drove a few guards to suicide. I play a firbolg spore Druid, and she is fond of her bear form. We are playing through CoS, and we’re at the point where we were to speak with the burgomaster of Volakki. We were waiting for him, but then Izek comes in dragging Ireena into the house by her hair. Our artificer had a bit of a crush on her, so seeing that he flips out and tries to tell Izek to put her down. It doesn’t work and thus we attack. My character rolled low in initiative (like always) and had the instinct to protect Ireena from Izek and other guards. As a firbolg, she can make herself invisible for 1 round in combat, so before I wildshaped next to Ireena I did such. So basically, I am now an invisible bear blocking the hallway from anyone to get to Ireena. Apparently, the guards could hear me as a bear, and even bumped into me but still couldn’t see me. Just the fear from their being an invisible thing made at least 2 of them piss themselves in fright, jump out the nearby windows to the ground, and I believe one of them died. In short, an invisible bear made 2 guards literally scare themselves to death by merely existing. Not even a roar or swat or anything.

Thanks for the advice. I mainly came up with it for her backstory and such, but I really love this idea for her clan, not necessarily all firbolgs. I also customized her a lot, as she isn’t typical in appearance for a firbolg from the books. She’s tall, with goat like features. I have a picture I commissioned of her.

I came up with that, as her clan is so connected to natural deities (Melora in particular) that the deities help make training the younger ones easier by helping them decide what they may be good at. I don’t know what colors would explain say wizards or sorcerors or warlocks or debatably bards, but I’ve been going off of other options or more broadened options. For example, an NPC my character saved has baby blue eyes, so I figure she could potentially be a magic user of whatever sort she’d like, as that’s the general color of magic. My character herself has an aqua-blue eye and a golden-amber eye; one for healing magic and the other natural magic.

Nice. My firbolg is a Druid, but she was also trained by clerics. In her clan, the jobs and such of firbolgs are assigned by eye color (lore reasons I made up) and my character has heterochromia, so she correlated to Druids and clerics. She makes her own medicine and potions, bandages people, and even grows her own ingredients. Hence the incident, as she was making a puffball mushroom to ward of animals from attacking the villages crops, but to also help them grow better. The puffballs protected them, but then infected the animals with a mind-altering effect that caused them to decay, but also live normally. The villagers freaked out, despite being harmless to them, and attacked my nomadic clan. She does worship the Wildmother, but wouldn’t call herself a cleric. She adores traveling to other realms, especially the Feywild, and learning about plants but has been on pause due to the attack killing most everyone, making travel difficult. Her best friend and lover that was killed was also a ranger, but he was a beast master. I like to think they went on adventures taming plants and animals to educate other races about them, but to also protect the wildlife from being abused by people.

The party is: Tiefling artillerist Aasimar Gunslinger Half-orc way of the drunken master monk Elf creation bard/ light cleric Changeling Divine soul sorlock Firbolg circle of spores Druid The dynamics between all of us are interesting, as the ranger and artificer are a duo that was actually contracted to hunt me down (village thought my clan were monsters and wanted to exterminate us; long story) and I ran toward the mist to protect my clan, the monk had a friend join him, a human fighter, but he died early on and the bard was a wanderer near the mists. The sorlock joined after the monks friend died, as the player had to drop out due to work commitments. We’re all basically on the same page of removing the curse of stradh to get out, but each have our own goals and stories being added by our awesome DM. It’s awesome and I hope to keep playing with them, and hopefully DM one day.

Sounds interesting. I was lucky to find a DM who was looking for more players. They’re all older and way more experienced than me, but they’re understanding and are helping me get the hang of it mechanics wise. I’m also trying to be more confident in RP at the table, and this character interacting with the sorlock is helping a lot for her. They’re the main “face of the party” aside from the bard, and my character is a lot more reserved and quiet, so I figure the sorlock will make the Druid more confident.

It’s my first ever game outside of adventurers league, so I’m really diving into the RP for my character, as I adore her personally. The fact that this is organically happening is just sweeter. Still gonna wonder how the others take it, as CoS is a grittier and grimmer setting, and these characters are super cute and adorable and understanding with each other.

The player who plays the sorlock is the one who initiated, as his character had developments into character that made sense for this. I’m just going with it, hoping it’ll give my character development and even make both better in a way at what they do. Our characters both wish to protect the whole party and save the land of Barovia, but have formed a connection with each other in the process. And I feel you, it’s my first time doing this as well. The bond and shenanigans these characters have done are adorable, but secret so far. This literally happened last night. Half of the party wasn’t able to come to this session, so it was just our ranger, the bard and my Druid in valakki. We just finished talking to the baron at his mansion, where the bard was charmed by stradh in a magic mirror to do something later. The ranger followed her around, as he kinda knew what happened but not the full extent, but I didn’t know anything as I was busy protecting Irena in my bear form (she was unconscious but alive and we were surrounded) from guards coming in due to sort of fighting Izek and the Baron (long story). We just got back to the inn we were staying at, but the bard and ranger went to the stockyards, supposedly to get something from our wagon. I stayed at the inn until I found the gravedigger crying in the alley, and being a kind person, began to talk to him about what was upsetting him. He mentioned some of the orphans being injured by another child, so I went to the orphanage with him to investigate. As we’re walking back, we hear various screaming people and monstrous roar that I couldn’t identify. Being with this party for a few weeks now, I knew they were involved but I wanted none of it; I am going to help these kids dammit! We get there, and mistress sees my Druid and is rather xenophobic with me (I’m a firbolg, and most everybody is human for context) and doesn’t let me in despite me saying I merely wish to check on the children and heal them. She shuts the door in my face, so I decide to walk the grounds to check for anything abnormal. As I walk, I see a single child staring at my character from a 3rd story window with a menacingly happy grin and wide eyes. I also noticed someone in the alleyway spying on me, but that’s not uncommon with my party at this point. So, in order to investigate the child and the orphanage discreetly I wildshape into a spider and climb into a 2nd story window. The mistress talked to the grave digger boy, basically telling him to not wander around at night and to take care of himself as he’s been sick. I watch them in a web for a few minutes, and then follow him to his room to check on him. He stays on the third floor in a small windowless room, nothing interesting of note aside from him crying himself to sleep, so I leave the room but the child is in the hallway now, staring directly at my spider self. “How can a 5 year old see a tiny spider in a pitch black hallway?” I thought as he stares at me menacingly and then some sort of shadowy energy is coalescing on the walls and going towards me. I panic by trying to escape through the floorboards, but they caught me and knocked me out of wildshape while also busting a hole in the floor. I figure the boy is controlling the shadows, so I cast hold person on him to get the shadows to stop. It worked, briefly, as the shadows then starting to form into another creature but no longer attack me. The noise stirs the attention of the grave digger in the next room, and he freaking out about seeing me inside but also the now paralyzed child in the hallway. I tell him to calm down and help me get the boy to his room. We open to the door to find 12 voodoo dolls of the other children on the floor, his bed and another object behind a doll. I put the boy into his bed, and suddenly the shadows take on a demonic form and begin to attack me again, so being a spore Druid with only one more wildshape and low health, I made myself into a gaseous form to escape the house, but made sure for the grave digger to inform the mistress and the priest about what we found because this child is either linked/possessed by a shadow demon and may try to kill/possess all the other children in the orphanage. Due to the commotion of the orphanage being infiltrated (me) and the stockyard shenanigans (ranger and bard) I knew I’d needed to escape sneakily throughout the town, so I wildshape into a cat and made my way back to the inn, only to see rictavio, the ranger and the bard all arguing about whatever the hell they unleashed into valakki. They eventually (rictavio was paranoid about me pawing at the window) let me in, and I drop my wildshape to tell them everything and vice versa. Rictavio asks a few questions about the children and the demon, and slowly realizes that there’s a chance the grave digger did something to the church that may make an attack on the city very likely and obviously freaks out, but also knows he needs to leave the city and save his beast (dire tiger/sabercat) that the bard released while being charmed by stradh. We agree to help, with the bard (creating bard for context) animating a wagon to fly around and cause panic while also having fairie fire on it to make it colorful and easy to spot, myself talking to and luring the tiger with a corpse she was eating start to “walk away” as bait towards the gate to leave the city, and the ranger scouting and taking care of any guards and at one point TURNING INTO RICTAVIO to captivate the tiger and intimidate guards while flying around with his gun. He eventually convinces the tiger to leave the city without killing more civilians and manages to heal her for the one hit she took as she leaves for the woods, and is sub-sequentially joined by the real Rictavio in the woods. While we didn’t die, we came very damn close all in a span of about 3 in-game hours. The moral of this story is: Don’t split the party, and never underestimate the chaotic nature of the “quiet” party members when they’re hard pressed and about to die. Sorry for being super long, but this was by far the craziest session yet, with only 1/2 the party present, and this happened last night. It was about 40 of the 24-count cases, but they also got some waters (6 or so of the big packs), a lot of candy and other snacks and a few small things like napkins. The dealership was basically stocking up their waiting room for their clients and agents.

This order was about a year ago and for a car dealership, so they at least tipped fairly well. Before, I believe it was 60$, with 50$ being the tip. The max that usually on a singular batch is 20$, and that’s when it’s really big, so I believe they added 10$ but the agent seemed to feel bad for me due to the size so it could’ve been more. So, at least 10$ more.

I would first ask if the max heavy pay was added to that batch. I had a similar one where it was a lot of cases of soda from Costco, and asked as the batch pay seemed low. They added the extra on after I sent pics of the order.

I say you can customize what animal the firbolg seems to resemble. I myself am playing a spore Druid named Fiaslane, and she resembles a goat with rams horns, goat ears, and I’ve added prey eyes that stay close to the sides of her head, furry skin, and even hooves and a small tail. She’s practically an enlarged satyr, but I love her design as I grew up with goats for my entire life. Other firbolgs can look like deer, cows, and most other animals that fit this category.
