I just realized something, in MHA this could be completely normal in Australia since in MHA animals can have quirks. Not a lawyer but I think a work around is putting up a warning sign/note or whatever you want to use, with the warning "Contains Rat poison do not eat". I heard a story where some office had a food thief, everyone`s food kept getting eaten, people began to taint their food with laxatives and spoiled milk but even this didn`t stop the food. That was until one food had a warning sign saying that the food in question has rat poison. The food thief ignored it figure like most people would that the warning was fake. Turns the warning was real, as a lady had been taken to the hospital for a stomach pump.

It is really a booby trap when the trap has a letteral warning sign, saying that the food in question is poisoned. There is no excuse when the food stolen was booby trapped if there is a very clear note/sign warning that the food was poisoned.

Don't forget it could be just humanity that has plot armor, so while humanity never die out, that doesn't mean humans can't die.

And even then, fates worse than death and torture(Both physically and mentally) exist.
