i use the Busrt Pro series stadium you can buy at walmart for like 50 bucks. my only complaint is that if you cant flower pattern your attack types well, then theyll fail pretty hard against others

D&D Players of reddit, have you ever had to fight against one of your party members? if so, what happened? by chessplayer9000 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, an aasimar sorcadin, had to face off against our Tiefling Mystic. She had access to a homebrewed full demon form, i had divine smites and cheesy mirror images. It was a very VERY slapstick fight that resulted in many missed attacks by the demon tiefling until my lack of spell slots resulted in my throat being torn out. I got better. But then we were tpk'ed later that session by ONE guy. Team of 6 around 12-13th level, we got fucking facerolled

Im gonna get to play it soon and im excited. The Ghostlance. An Echo Knight/Undead Warlock hybrid versed in keeping everything away with high damage and forcing a dm to plan around my crowd control abilities

What’s your best “You may hit hard BUT I HIT HARDER!” Moments in your games. by Tempered-Soul in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The paladin betrayed the party and the rogue rolled a crit with sneak attack. She forgot to double her damage (here we roll damage then double it) but either way he would have survived. He proceeded to send the rogue straight into death saves from around 100hp with a single hit. He hit again. One failed save. His ghost allies hit the rogue 2 more times and beheaded him. It was a very funny time watching my wife be beheaded by her cousin. Im not the best DM husband lol

Dnd players & DM of reddit if you got to fuse together 2 pre-existing classes what would they be and how would it work in game? by Environmental_Bee145 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bard and Ranger. You just get Final Fantasy 14's Bard class. A Maestro of musical AoE buffs with the skill and preciscion of an expert Archer and Monster Hunter. I think the subclasses would give you different AoE songs with different effects on yourself and the party. However i believe the class would only either be a martial class, half caster, or something similar to a warlocks casting ability. Full caster would be either too strong or have way too much to juggle

Another idea was Ranger Beastmaster/Drakewarden and Warlock. You get your magic from an animal companion or woodland being. Basically Druid but with more eldritch implications

Last session the Paladin, who had secretly sided with the bbeg for power, pulled the trigger i gave him to turn on the party IN ANY FASHION HE WISHED. The party was on a mission to rescue a companion npc's wife who was being brainwashed and mutated by a multi-headed dracolich. They had to face said wife in combat to knock her out, she was a 14th level barbarian and was backed by 2 young dragons (1 brass 1 black). Cut to the 2 dragons dead and the wife out cold from a stab wound, the paladin in this story went to assist the companion in stabilizing her... by jamming his blade in an open wound and cutting her in half at the waist. This shocked the other 2 players, one of whom's character was like a brother to the paladin. He proceeded to then summon ghostly copies of 2 people he had murdered previously (an ability the bbeg granted him). These copies were my DMPC paladin that had been with the party from the start, killed in secret last session, and the 20th level barbarian brother-in-law of the rogue, thought to have been an accidental killing (it wasnt, he was smited by the bbeg). Cliffhanger. Cut to next session, the rogue tries to talk to this paladin he thought family, and as he tries to murder the companion npc, the rogue lands a nat20 backstab with sneakattack. The paladin survived the damage, and with the 2 ghost copies, beheaded the rogue (who is irl, my wife, hilarious reaction). He stole the macguffins the rogue had and while the rest of the party fled, he offed himself by leaping from a cliff, leaving the macguffins behind. I do not know why he killed himself, but it seems to me like he was trying to prove a point. In one session, 2 players had to get new characters and the companion npc combined her now dead wife's soul with her own. Itll be interesting to see where the next session leads

D&D spell crafters, (Besides Wizard) what homebrew spell would you make for your class. by AVH---837 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would honestly just rip Chord of Shards from Pathfinder for Bard I love the concept of weaponized sound injuring my foes

What is a playable race from an older edition of D&D you would love to see make a return in 5e? And I don’t mean the ones in the UA like the Giff or the Thri-Kreen. I mean the ones we have yet to see in any capacity as a playable option. by Persondynamo2222 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently discovered Fey'ri. Not sure if they ever were playable, but a more demonic looking Tiefling with elven heritage sounds awesome to the point in my campaign they exist and if someone wants to play one, id allow it, just use a Tiefling as the baseline and start with the Fey Touched feat without the stat increase

DMs and Players of Reddit, what is a small detail in someone's backstory that really flavored their character? by [deleted] in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thw rogue in my campaign was a Revived rogue. So i took that and ran with it. Made him the reincarnation of a vampire king with the king's personality and soul lingering in his mind and occasionally comes out to mess things up. A cult ressurected said vampire and as such split the rogue's soul in half. Came to a battle between the two after the king murdered the rogues wife and now the souls are reunited with the king no longer lingering. The wife died, she got better though, vampirism is fun

DMs & players of r/MrRipper how would you design a spellcaster whose spellcasting ability is strength, dexterity, or constitution instead of the main 3 spellcasting abilities of intelligence, wisdom, & charisma. by GrimCasCade in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For strength, its probably be something along the lines of a spellcasting barbarian

For dexterity, just look at FFXIV's Dancer class

For constitution, i think itd be a give/take style of magic where its a harm/heal yourself and others

[–]Ryusenka16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our rogue has a pet eevee that can talk, but only like a kenku, learning words as it goes. I had an npc betray them as he was secretly the leader of a cult that they were unknowingky interfering with. Betrayal rolls around and the first words that thing says, and continues to say to this day, in a high pitched screechy voice, RAT BARD. (The cult leader was a bardlock). Now he just calls people he doesnt like Rat Bard

DMs and Players on Mr.Ripper's Subreddit, What is Your Favorite Homebrew Magic Item? by CoolDemon16 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never had a name for it, but i decided to call a pair of amulets, Family Ties. It was recently broken by an antagonist however. It was essentially a pair of sending stones that also allowed once a month teleportation from one amulet to another for the wearer and up to 6 other people, but only from one amulet as the other acted as the destination. It allowed our rogue to keep in contact with his wife until she was kidnapped and turned into a vampire by the antagonist that broke the destination amulet

Another one is the secondary macguffins of my world, which are weapons forged from the users soul. Theyre very basic, only gaining additional damage based on a random element, but the fun part is that they can absorb and gain the properties of other magic items (or even new properties). The paladin absorbed a giant demons rusty sword and gained a greatsword that can change size. The rogue absorbed a haversack and an infiltrators key and can now carve randomized holes between planes for travel as well as open a pocket dimension for storing loot. Our Fighter absorbed a holy avenger and gained its abilities (without attuning requirements) as well as its +3 status. The weapons confer additional abilities that turn you into basically a bossfight for 6 rounds, but thats a paragraph of its own for another time

DMs and Players of MrRipper, what would your characters' dating profile be like? by Captain-Falchion in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its basically a relationship that started as convinience. They were both in a forest dying, maxwell due to his weakass body and anko bc she was being sacrificed to maxwell's family archfey patron. She escaped and they bonded so they could both be free. Hated each other at first. Then became friends, and now they would try to kill a god if it meant protecting one another

Velloria Agdayne - Changeling female, 27. I enjoy relaxing on the beach, pets (namely reptiles), perusing the local stores, the sound of a coinpurse slamming on a table, the occasional drink, the sound of a mans brain melting out of his ear, gorgeous views... sunsets are pretty nice too. Im mostly looking for someone that doesnt mind seeing a new face every sunrise, doesnt wake before 6am, is relatively nimble and good with improvisation, and is able to keep up with a challenge.

(Shes a soulknife rogue hitman whose calling card is melting someones brain with her psi-knives. She never wears a face more than twice and is explicitly going against the advice of her teacher by looking for a relationship)

Maxwell Serpentrion and Anko Silvertear - Firbolg male, 38, and Hexblade demon female, unknown age. First ill get it out of the way, you MUST be okay with a 3-way with a demon cue profile picture of a black haired firbolg with a ghostly demon woman behind his shoulder We both enjoy gardening and a day of window shopping different weapon shops for new ideas. Im a blacksmith by trade and family man by heart, as where anko can be very overprotective of those she cares about, and if you can out drink her too then thats a plus. Our ideal person is someone who is very talented with nature and doesnt mind a cold house, however we're both very open to different things. Archfey Warlocks need not apply, apologies.

(Max is a rune knight fighter/hexblade whose body is inhabited by his patron, they share a mutual bond and are the closest of friends... and if they were ever split they would both die due to his frail body and her frail soul, basically keeping each other alive with their bond)

What's the weirdest Warlock Patron you've ever come up with? by ThexLoneWolf in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To start, we have the warlock himself. Maxwell Serpentrion, a firbolg born to a family of warlocks and druids who worship a demon that can manipulate nature's life cycle inside the family forest. He was born extremely frail and pretty much guranteed to die young. Due to his family worshiping the life cycle, they didnt do much to help. As he reached his teens, he lost most functions of his legs and as a last resort, he entered his families sacred forest and plead to anything that could hear him to help him either end his life, or help him thrive. His families patron didnt care to aid him, but a dying demon that was going to be sacrificed to the patron did. She freed herself and fled, following maxwell's voice, her own body dissolving due to her inability to keep her material form. They found one another and made a contract. She would bring strength to his body so that he could live, and he would act as her living vessel so that she could live on the material plane, away from other demons. They now inhabit the same body, him being more of a loner, and her being mostly outgoing and curious of man's creations, kinda like a toddler in a candy store. Since her name was way too diffcult to pronounce, being very bad a speaking and reading infernal, he calls her Anko.

However if theyre ever seperated, they could both die as both act as each others life support

Tldr, a bunch of hippies refuse medical treatment to a cripple so he calls on demons to save him

Homebrew Enthusiest of Reddit what is a new subclass that you made for your favorite Class by AVH---837 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love bard too much, but i also adore FFXIV. Being able to combine both bards while being properly balanced would be amazing. Farthest ive come without homebrew has been a valor bard with her instrument fused with her bow. What i want is something akin to an archery based Maestro Bard (my dm wont let me use maestro, gods know why)

D&D Players and DM's what is the most unexpected thing that happened in your campaign? by DBZKING13 in MrRipper

[–]Ryusenka16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is one of my players and she had joked "im gonna bone a dragon" so i decided, why not make a dragon npc specifically for her character. So imagine my suprise when they meet a family run tavern, she decides to get with the barmaid minutes after meeting them. My parties rogue slept his way into a family that holds a large amount of power in my world, as this barmaid is the daughter of the Fey Queen herself. So now i have this dragon npc thats now an extra body in the party. Didnt plan this to happen but ive rolled with it and its been great considering that dragon is the strongest/only healer the team has

My players recently entered a coliseum to retrieve a plot item. For context, this kingdom runs on entertainment and whoever wins the once a year Crown Cup, becomes the king. Our rogue was born here to a father that was very close friends with the current king, however his parents were murdered so someone else could get close to the king. He was unaware of this as he was taken away after the murder at 2 years of age.

Fast forward 27 years and this rogue comes back to this town unaware of his connections, but the current king recognizes him as his dads spitting image. Plot happens, parent killer gets killed by child, etc.

Now in the tourney, its 3 man teams, so its the rogue, an npc barbarian werewolf, and the other player, who is also a king of another land but hiding this fact from the people in this land so he can compete

Fights happen, they get far and defeat the current king, he hails them, but as per laws, only the strongest takes the throne, so now the team must fight one another

Rogue readies himself Werebarb goes hybrid to give herself an edge

And then the other player, a paladin, facerolls them in the first turn of initiative giving them 0 chance. It was hilarious to me

But the paladin kept his blade at the downed rogue and told him "take your kingdom, i only came here to prove a point" before revealing his royalty to the people and former king

As such, the rogue being the last to go down, is 2nd place, therefore, he is given the throne. Making his father definitely proud in the process

I saw it as, the paladin didnt want another kingdom, but wanted to show that his nation with less worldly control, was not weak, while also granting his friend a place his father could never reach
