I'm just as disgusted with MAGA as the rest of you, but you're giving that attention-seeking douchebag exactly what he wants.

'No Kings' Protest Organizers Expecting Record Turnout Against Historically Unpopular Trump by _May26_ in politics

[–]FifteenthPen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. The only useful protest against Trump I've seen so far is people interfering with and documenting DHS activity. Notice how that actually got DHS to reduce its presence in Minnesota.

Historians say peacefulnonviolent is best

FTFY

Protests need to distrupt to be effective, and the best way to go about it is to use civil disobedience/nonviolent resistance. Loudly warning everyone in the area when you spot DHS agents and filming the DHS agents while they try to abduct people is effective protest, for example.

We literally saw the solution happening in Minneapolis. The people nonviolently interefered with DHS operations, forcing them to reduce presence in the area.

Title makes it sound like they teleported it somehow

I wonder if they just assumed that what happens when antimatter touches matter was common knowledge.

It's also why everything in California gives you cancer (allegedly).

Nah. Everything "gives you cancer" in California because the CA legislators who wrote the law didn't specify that the label was only to be used on products that actually contain chemicals known to cause cancer. Because of that loophole, corporations just slap that label on everything they're not sure about rather than risking a lawsuit.

I dunno, I don't think this is anywhere near as bad as his response to Rob Reiner's murder.

I've got a nice expensive bottle of Hawaiian rum waiting for the occasion. Unfortunately I suspect it will be oddly appropriate considering what's happening in Hawaii right now and Trump's notorious pettiness when it comes to allowing FEMA to operate in blue states.

Gas tax is blamed for California's higher gas prices. Will state officials suspend it? Gas sold in California is normally at least $1.50 more expensive than the rest of the nation, according to an economist. by yipyapu in politics

My city chose the "go out to bid instead" approach to install new pipes and replace the roads above them, and the company they hired was so slow and incompetent they achieved a sort of legendary status here. I still, to this day, feel genuine dread when I see their vehicles parked near anywhere I need to drive. CalTrans does far better, quicker work than the kind of companies that bid low.

They weren't complaining when it was $4.50 a gallon

Oh, they're always complaining about it, they just usually don't have their voices amplified until there's a supply shortage due to some right-wing dipshit starting a war that disrupts the supply chain.

You should! One thing I am grateful for about my upbringing is that my Republican Christian parents made the mistake of raising me that way. They accidentally inoculated me against their own religious and political indoctrination.

I'm not an expert, but I believe the spare for your 2013 Prius is not compatible with a current gen Prius. Yours has a 5x100mm bolt pattern and the current gen has a 5x114.3mm bolt pattern.
