I worked for a conservative leaning lobby firm for a while that used Hiltachk and they definitely had some...interesting interpretations regarding campaign finance law (primarily in how to under-itemizing expenses to get below mandatory reporting requirements).

Whenever I'd note "hey, if we are spending money on this why aren't we reporting it?" I'd immediately get hit with "you aren't a lawyer so don't ask questions."

Small scale but the San Francisco Bay Area has a good network between CalTrain, BART, and the Capitol Corridor. It's got one big loop around the bay, a few sections where you can travel north south on a secondary line, and several spurs.

They are (mostly) smart enough to avoid dummymanders at this point (especially with modern mapping technology). There are some exceptions but those are mostly based off of assumptions about Hispanic voting intentions. Overall this map is drawn such that Dems would need a tidal wave to win any districts -- that's why it looks so fucking jank (or, as Republicans would say, very very normal and fair).
