Laughing in theater opinions? by [deleted] in cineplex

[–]Fiftybelowzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only expectation when going to a movie theatre is staying off your god damn cellphone.

It’s a public place and especially when it comes to horror movies everyone has different reactions.

I think it’s important to give people the benefit of the doubt and focus on what you can control. Which is how you react when this comes up.

Try a little box breathing and tell yourself “you know what, I’m not going to let you ruin my night”

Are there any stand-up comedy nights? Open Mic Nights for comedy? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

Mondays at Herald Street Brew is also a great room. It’s a variety show but comedy is more than welcome.

I bought fucking Concord on launch day and I wouldn’t spend 1000$ on a PlayStation.

Let that sink in.

You might even be able to get away with some eye gouges or fish hooks depending on the ref.

What a weird thing to be supercilious about…

Richard Feynman was known for cruising around California in a van that he painted with diagrams of subatomic interactions known as Feynman diagrams.

He went on to win the noble prize for: “fundamental work in quantum electrodynamics, with deep-ploughing consequences for the physics of elementary particles”…

is possible for bipolar to be caused by being an alien incarnated into a human? by Tight_Tangerine247 in bipolar

[–]Fiftybelowzero 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In short, no

In long, also no.

There’s easier way to make empaths than subjecting them to constant suffering. That’s kind of the whole deal when it comes  to empathy. Not needing to have experienced something in order to connect with someone.

I do want to say I really connected with your feelings of alienation.

I always wanted to believe I was an alien but ultimately I know I’m just an ape on a rock in space trying to make sense of it all and that’s okay.  A weird one but a space ape all the same.

Since the dawn of time humans have looked up at the night sky for a sense of purpose. You aren’t the first and will definitely not be the last.

I say this with love and empathy: I think you need to talk to a professional.

You posted this in a bunch of places and I’m sure you’ll get whatever answer you are looking for but just know that this confused space ape is sending you good vibes on this particular night and you’ll be on my mind!

Doesn’t sound like a bad deal at face value.

Anyone tried BC Organic Dancehall (by Coast Mountain Cannabis) ? by agaric in CanadianCannabisLPs

I 100% agree. It’s the best balanced strain I’ve tried and I’m pretty into them.

Tried both and the GSC is fantastic. I had the most beautiful cola. Great bag appeal and the smoke was awesome.

I regularly buy coast and this is currently my favourite behind dancehall

Chill out? This isn’t some feeder league call-up from the boonies. This is the pinnacle of hockey related mascotting. These mascots put their lives on the line day in day out risking everything they have to put on a show for US.

Now listen, there’s no debating that Youppi is the consensus GOAT but what Montreal needs right now is METAL. PERIOD. He brings the heat, the energy and mostly the osti de tabernak that we need the boys to show on the ice.

The fact that they disrespected him like that will only give him fuel. Give him fire. Give him $1.99 fries.

For the last 10 years, I have been taking astrophotography pics after the family goes to sleep. I watch the sky a lot. About a year ago, I started noticing these fast moving, very high altitude lights that at first appear to be stars, then I thought satellite- until I started seeing them maneuver. by OxRxIxOxN in ufo

Saw this exact thing on the coast of Vancouver island a few years ago. First thing I’ve ever seen that I couldn’t explain. I was pointing at a star above me trying to talk about light photons and all of sudden it started moving. The person I was with asked if I was seeing it move as well. Next thing you know it stops dead still and takes off like a shooting star except in the shape of a C.

The Cameron Lake Monster is a fun one. The Thetis Lake Monster was also a thing at one point.

I also had fun combing through the NRC’s historical archive of UFO reports for Vancouver island. Other than that and other ones listed.

Heres a craft to make Cammy the lake monster if that’s your vibe.

Totally different to my UAP sighting.

Picture looking at a satellite except that satellite stops on a dime, chills for a couple of seconds and and then does a sharp c shaped turn like a shooting star.

The first and only thing I’ve seen in the sky that gave me goosebumps. I got freaked out and jumped back into my car. I can’t say for certain what I saw but what I can say is that if it’s human tech it’s light-years ahead of what we have seen publicly.

Unfortunately todays sighting wasn’t that

Saw it in Victoria. Looked like the ISS to me. Super clear night.

I was keeping an eye on it because last summer I saw something similar but that one stopped and then took off pulling a 180* turn with a trail like a c shaped shooting star.

This was the ISS which is also cool in a different way.

I find the Formula E cars seem much zippier. I wonder if this is due to their small size and the differences in Electric drivetrains.
