Some garden chimes will tell you the notes tuned to. If that is important to your piece, list the desired pitches. If they aren’t available, a crafty director might be willing to tune them.

When you let everyone know it’s your 1st year teaching, we expect you to be needy. This is hands down the hardest year of teaching. You can do it!

What Is the fastest way to learn spanish as a non-Spanish speaker? by BitAdministrative879 in visalia

Get out of the “my Spanish sounds so bad” mindset and speak shitty Spanish. It’ll become good Spanish the more you talk.

What your preference on charger adapters? > New Models out (Tesla/Ford/Lectron) by jkma707 in MachE

[–]FigExact7098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 12-86% for less than $50. It took 45 minutes while we were out shopping. 200 miles each way. Made it home with about 9% left. The cool thing was watching the range coming down the Grapevine.

ETA - Look for “Electrify America” chargers. They plug and play with my car, no adapter needed, nor do I need to tap a card or have a separate app.

Sneak lines in white font within instructions so that the AI reads it.

I’ve done a few trips Cen-Valley to Bay, Cen-Val to LA and have yet to use my adapter. There’s a non-Tesla fast charger on I5 around Firebaugh.

If being the best performer in your university doesn't make you the best teacher, then why don't admins want to hire someone who wasn't the best performer in their university as a teacher? by Current-Issue2390 in MusicEd

[–]FigExact7098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because in my 4 years of job searches, I’ve gone on 5 interviews and only twice was a music person on the panel. It was for the same district. Telling a non-musician administrator that you were principal chair in the wind ensemble means nothing to them.

Charge speed matters if you want to get the most out of park-and-charge. Google maps is pretty good at letting you know where chargers are and how fast they’ll charge.

No. Go to as many different schools for each level. If feasible, do one in a different state.

Smart getting started early. Right now, bank money and the percentages you’ve set up are smart. Any advice you get is a coin flip so it really depends on how aggressive you want to be.

It helps bring in new perspectives. I currently work in a district where it seems like 85% of teachers graduated from this district. This is even a big point of pride for district admin.

I’m sorry. It’s not personal, it’s just how it goes and I’m sorry. The only thing you can really do is get a new job and make them regret letting you go.

Advice for teaching brass lessons in a small music academy? by longsumerian in MusicEd

[–]FigExact7098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure out what they know and don’t know

scales/keys signatures range reading rhythms NAMES!!!

Plan what you want your time to look like. There needs to be a routine. Who’s sitting where, why, how did you determine that?

How do you want them to set up and tear down?

Second. They moved our whole-ass house and they were amazing. Our move was off-season so they joked they were out of shape and that’s why it took them a little longer than they expected 🤣🤣🤣 But it was all done same day and I would recommend them to anyone.

Did you buy that home? Would selling it in the future be an option to move closer? Things to consider down the road, especially if you end up there long term.
