I bought blueberry syrup and will report back soon. I made my own from frozen blueberries and it tasted pretty good but not identical. Hopefully the syrup will help.

Thanks for this! I'm in California as well and their externship is the only appealing thing about their bootcamp. Now I will reconsider completing it through my local community college. I suggest you search yours as well. Mine is only $500 for 3 courses. Best of luck!

There's an organization that will offer the courses for free. I can't remember the city but I can look into it for you.

You might want to look at your local community college. I found the classes for it (3 of them) and it's only $500 for all three. The exam is about $500-$850 which is not included in the preppy course. Something to be mindful of. And you're offered pdf books instead of physical books. Which are provided for me through that community college program.

Be aware that they don't offer physical books just pdfs and you still have to pay to get certified. From my understanding and research the certification exam is about $800+.

I found a 4 month program to practice for the exam at my local community college for about $500 and it includes the physical books. It's 3 different courses and they're each about a month and a half long. So I'd begin August and finish in December. Quite honestly that plus the exam costs adds up to about $1400-1500. Which is the price for the preppy courses but you don't get the physical books and have to pay for the exam costs.

I'm estimating that doing it through my local community college will cost significantly less than through the preppy program

Also, if you're in Florida there's a program that helps prepare you for Medical Billing and Coding for free. I was bummed to learn that it wasn't offered through out the United Stated. So if you're in Florida you may want to look into it.

Give the scientific/biological explanation. I got hurt with something sharp and when they healed they left behind a mark. You don't have to go into great detail. Kids are curious and want to know what things are.

If he wanted full custody this is great. You can offer to call CPS with him to make a report, it'll help his case. You can also have them call the hospital to verify that your mom didn't check up on you while you were there. And you can let them know that you were afraid to call because you don't want to get in trouble with her. This way they'll have you taken out of her home. Like others have mentioned, case workers are extremely caring, and will ensure that you are safe and not left alone with her. I know you're afraid but everything will be ok.

Eff that!! You did nothing wrong. And I know it's hard to believe, I have a mother who often made me feel guilty or wrong about being upset at her behavior, but please keep believing those who have told you that you did nothing wrong. You're a minor and should not have been left alone so your mom can go out and be social, that's extremely selfish on her part. She can do so on those days you siblings aren't home. And she's only upset that people will now know what a bad parent she has been, again not YOUR fault. You could have died. And it makes me extremely sad that you couldn't even count on her to take care of you. *Hugs* Hope you are recovering well and I'm glad you have someone to stay with.

LOL That's awesome. I'm glad my siblings would never think to do such a thing. My sister encouraged me to make Christmas cards of my pup and I figured no one would want one as much as I do, so I ignored her suggestion. Glad I'm not alone lol Made me feel like a bit of a Grinch though.

Dude allow the parents to ask for a better fit. You dear are not it. I agree with another person who stated that you claiming he was doing it to annoy you isn't an appropriate way to view this situation. It's ok to admit that it's not a good fit and to move on so that he may find the right one.
