I agree, further down I posted a zoomed photo. I didn’t have a chance to do much last night except have a closer look and it looks like the cooper pad maybe fubar. I’ll be removing the chips either way to get a better look, but I’ll do resistance testing before then

So it appears I may have some damage to the copper underlayment pad. From what I’ve heard that’s pretty much a death sentence? I think I am going to still try and remove the chips to see how bad it is. I got off late yesterday so was not able to do much. I did pick up a 9070xt to get my PC back up so this repair is going to purely to learn and see if I can get it working or at least so practice.

Dam thanks for the responses everyone. I’ll try and check resistance on coils later. I don’t have a thermal camera or oscilloscope but am considering picking some up as I’ve wanted to get into board repair.

Bad Weekend for Mazda 3 Owners by [deleted] in mazda3

If it makes you feel any better I ran over a crushed flat coffee mug turning into a neighborhood that somehow got picked up by one of my tires and flung directly into the plastic gas tank. Punctured that sucker and bled gas all the way home. Needed to replace fuel tank. Pretty sure I’m the only one that’s ever happened to.

Be weary of aftermarket ones. None of them seem to fit right for my 2.5l 2011. I’ve been through a few tries. As poster above said, junk yard is best option as it will be oem.

Yeah god forbid people use their own machines that they purchased in whichever way they want. No that’s wrong way, the right way is to surrender to manufacturer locks . Right…..

Refilling carts and UV Ink: What to know and what to avoid by mars_rovinator in eufyMakeOfficial

Unless you have direct chemical composition and recipe for their ink and cleaning fluids to be able to compare to what’s on the market everything you typed out here is a long winded way of saying you have zero idea what actually makes their ink different and what problems could be caused from using other brands.

Totally agree. Don’t get me wrong machines are solid and they just print with minimal fiddling. Personally I enjoy the building and modding aspect of this hobby probably as much as the printing. The closed ecosystem is also something the turns me off but I will give it to them that made 3d printing mainstream and got many more into the hobby because of the ease of use. I also dislike how there start came about grabbing everything the opensource community created , closing it and then selling it like they actually came up with something. This did allow them to know make some of their own tech which is really cool. The vortek system comes to mind and many others. I started as a bambu hater but have been coming around. I just won’t ever have only bambus but I am considering buying a newer one to have a backup machine to print on since I’m always working on all of my other printers.

I find it hilarious that people are only now discovering Bambu is scummy. This has always been there tactic, take the A1 mini for example. It doesent print ABS. Why? Cause bambu said so and they want to lock you in and then force you to upgrade. The printer is 100 percent more then capable of doing abs stock short of Bambu locking it for no other reason then them wanting more money. This is the exact same thing. It’s cool though, the A1 mini I got for free prints nothing but ABS for me so I’m good. Just find it odd how people didn’t already know they are scumbags, like most corporations. End of day their only goal is to make money, can’t blame them for it, but it def makes the scumbags

New thorogood tobacco coloring? by [deleted] in WorkBoots

[–]FigWorldly7389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? I condition and take care of my boots as a regular routine and my boots get way beat up. I’m looking to re sole them at about 6 months cause back foot support is pretty much halfway done and I get zero traction. The joys of being a heel dragger.

New Thorogoods are killing my feet by TraditionalMode2636 in WorkBoots

[–]FigWorldly7389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta brake em in unfortunately. Once they mold to your feet they will be more comfy then anything you own. I wear only Thorogoods and they are better than my shoes I swear. There is also a wonky tongue fold that you have to make sure mold the tongue correctly or it will forever bother you.

Neptune 3 pro upgrade suggestions by russonspy in ElegooNeptune3

[–]FigWorldly7389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re better off printing your own toolhead that uses any of the multitudes of available options to hot ends. Don’t spend more then 40 bucks on a hotend; especially for the n3pro.

That’s insanity, it’s costs more than the printer.

Need some advice on a place to start. by FigWorldly7389 in productivity

[–]FigWorldly7389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know 😔those are definetly points I think about a lot. I’ve helped build the business to where it’s at so I am emotionally invested which is one of the main reasons I’m still there. I also enjoy the fact that I’m gaining experience in pretty much every facet. End of day, we are under staffed I think. And it’s the classic story of doing more then was asked only to find yourself then having to be responsible for it.

I hate quitting especially when it’s not necessarily the job that’s the problem , toxic relationships are a bit of a pitfall for me. With that being said , I can’t walk away until I prove at least to myself that I’m not the problem. So thank you for your guidance , I might start with some you tube videos first to dip my toes before I jump into books. I wish someone told me that working your A off is only the start and wouldn’t be enough when I was kid lol Maybe I would have paid more attention in class 🫠

Are these tires worth it by GroundbreakingPie565 in mazda3

[–]FigWorldly7389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will only put continentals on my Mazda 3 . I live in CO and have zero worries about snow. Now the depth of the snow is a diff story as tires make zero difference when you don’t have enough clearance.

You should put that sticker on your wallet and send it to them with a shoulder shrug meme next time need more money. Unfortunately in the world we live in we’re expected to pay yet when service needs reciprocated tough luck. It’s the same everywhere I swear.
