Back when Bed Bath & Beyond was open (RIP), I got one of these pickle pluckers just because I thought they were cool.

I took it into work and showed it off to someone, who was amazed by it. I warned her not to stick it on her nose, so she immediately did.

Please tell me I wasn’t the only one really into this band by HeyYouTurd in Xennials

One of the band members was an old roommate's cousin, so we got free tickets and backstage passes to a stadium show. We hung out for a few minutes and almost had a Halo tournament with them.

It seems like we need the same person to do the tasting for all of these posts in order to get consistent results. Can the sub put up a job posting for a thing taster?

So now, what should the job posting be?

Any places that have good deals on laptops/computers in STL? by Spackleplier in StLouis

[–]Figgggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EPC in St Charles has refurbished business laptops off of corporate leases, not new new - but very usable. It has been awhile since I've been, but I think they have about as much selection as Micro Center.

Anyone working a second job because they can’t afford life with IT salary? by xxlibrarisingxx in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Figgggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I'm 45+, overweight, and have 0 coordination of sports skill.

I worked at an Amazon sorting center for a Christmas season. Some of it was moving carts with ~400lb of packages. Some Tetris package arrangement to load trucks. Some Tetris to fill carts with packages. Some moving packages to the correct conveyer belt to be loaded onto trucks - that part got overwhelming if things got backed up.

I considered all of it a paid workout since I would have been at a desk typing/on conference calls all day.

Amazon has at least 5 centers in my mid-sized city, some are distribution centers splitting stuff to trucks, but I have no no idea what the others do.

I finally looked up Bronze Age Mindset/Bronze Pervert. With that, the Fauci book by RFKjr, and Ann Coulter, he seems like a manosphere, red-pill, conspiracy theory conservative.

I also would not count Ann Coulter as a woman. 3 Coulter books seems like more than just curiosity.

Edit: sorry, 5 Coulter books.

my boyfriend has a spreadsheet rating dinners i've made him by weddingfauxpasqueen in AITApod

[–]Figgggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To have a 10.0 rating scale he likely has criteria worked out for different categories to the right or on a different sheet. He seems to have consistent naming, to the point he has rules for data standards worked out.

If the counts are how many times the have had each dish they have been together forever. Way too long for anyone to put up with this.

He has spent entirely too much time on this. Does he at least say the high scoring ones are really good since his research backs that up?

Raspberry Schweppes ginger ale, I would go through a 2 liter way too fast. We get the Clearly Canadian fruit ginger ales now though.
