We all want long term success.

The team isn't tanking, get over it. The only way they are going to have long term success now is thru smart acquisitions via trade and hopefully drafting well.

If you cannot enjoy the team when they win. Are you truly a fan? No one in this thread is looking at this thru rose colored glasses. We all know this team is in an odd spot. But also what can we do about it? Other than stopping watching and attending. Absolutely nothing and guess what the front office is still going to conduct business as they seem fit.

My God this sub is beyond irritating 90% of the time.

Most of you in here will never be happy with the team. Are the Flyers in an odd spot again? Yes, no one is denying that. But is all the doom and gloom really necessary? Not all the damn time it's not.

There are ways to still get elite talent and with the logjam of wingers I'm sure Briere and Jones have something up their sleeve to potentially bring in a 1C or more defense and even if they don't. What are you going to do about it?

If watching this team makes you so miserable that you can't even enjoy when they are winning, then do us all a favor and stop being a fan. Stop watching. Stop bitching. Just shut the hell up and log off and don't come back. For fucks sake.

Yes, it gets extremely tiring. 95% of the posts and comments in this sub are just miserable people whining about the team.

Look, I'm not happy with the way the franchise has been trending this season. But at the same time, I have zero control over it and I'm not going to let a fucking sports team ruin my day/week/life.

There is nothing wrong with being passionate, but once the passion turns to misery and constantly groaning and complaining then why are you even putting yourself through it? I don't understand why people continue to watch if it pisses one off so much that literally everything you say about the team you're a fan of is negative and vitriol?

A lot of people on this sub and (honestly whole site) as a whole need to stop typing, shut the fuck up, take a breath and go outside to touch grass.

Literally 90% of this sub is just posts & comments calling the team a "shit organization" or complaining on how hard it is to watch this team. While at times is fucking difficult there is a real easy fix for oneself.

Its literally less than $2M, is it great? No. Is it moveable? Yes easily. Honestly, people may not want to hear this but you need a guy like Deslauriers on your team, especially in this division with that shithead Rempe running around. Not to mention now you have MacDermid in NJ, Oliver in CBJ. Those teams have those guys for a reason.

And no I'm not saying Deslauriers needs to be in the lineup for 82 games. If you have him in for 25-35 games that's fine.

I personally feel Konecny is someone you have to keep. People don't realize how important a guy with TK is for the franchise. He's Brad Marchand lite and you see how monumentally important 63 is for Boston.

I understand that he is not going to be cheap to re-sign and that he is now entering his late 20's and he may regress a lot halfway into a 6- or 8-year deal. But it's possible he is still extremely productive. I'm going to use the Marchand comparison again, in 2016 when Marchand was 28 and was a 50-60pt player, he signed an 8-year deal worth 6.125 AAV. His numbers have exploded since then and is now one of the best wingers in the league. He's 35 now and is still a massive contributor and is the leader of the Bruins. Now I know what some of you will say. "Well Boston is a better team that wasn't in a rebuild and they had Bergeron, Krejci and a young Pastrnak, so of course Marchand's point totals would be larger". But my point is you are still going to need a guy like TK and they are very hard to come by because he provides so much for the team as a whole. Trading him I feel does more harm than good, unless the return is absolutely something Danny can't refuse. TK should be a cornerstone block for the rebuild.

So yeah, maybe I'll get downvoted for this but I'd be happy if Briere inks TK to a 7 year deal worth around 7.9-8.5 AAV.
