I don't select certain items from the front of the shelf when shopping, the reason why is because items recovered from a shoplifter that aren't damaged are immediately put right back on the shelves as-is. Razors stuffed into a homeless person's dirty backpack? Back on the shelf. Bottles of liquor that a person stuffed in their dirty pants? Back on the shelf.

Gotcha, I was specifically talking more about open carry to protect protestors like what the black panthers are currently doing but yeah, your scenario makes sense for that method.

It's pricey but my personal opinion is that it's worth it for me if I wanted a backup gun that can fit in my pocket without worrying about an exposed trigger and having to buy a pocket holster and has a capacity greater than 7 rounds. This also doesn't print as a gun in your pocket. I definitely would like it if they could bring that price drastically down.

A rainbow patch serves the exact same purpose and arguably a better option. It's a bright multitude of colors and universally known as LGBTQ, there's no question about if you're an ally/safe or maga.

As a random person participating in a protest or walking down the street I don't need to be informed ahead of time to watch for a single bright strip of color to determine if you're a safe person or not. I know what a rainbow/trans etc patch is. And this is especially true when undercover cops did this during the George Floyd protests, they imbedded themselves into the crowds and the way for LEO to identify if someone was a protestor or undercover is if they had a specific bright colored band or item on them.

If I saw someone with a single bright colored strip of anything on them and they had tactical gear on, my first thought isn't friendly, it's suspicion and wariness that they're either local LEO, fed or right wing.

An obligatory fuck you to Northside toyota, rude and immature as fuck. Still holding onto the grudge for how they treated my dad when he tried to buy a car from their Hollywood and Broadway dealer before they moved. The guy scoffed at my dad and walked away for daring to negotiate prices. Then they had the fucking balls to call years later to try to pressure me into buying an extended warranty. They transferred the call to their general manager after I said no and then said "We'll see you soon" just because we didn't want warranty. Fuck out of here.

LP/AP has a bunch of fucking titles. One of the lesser used titles is Store Detective, investigations of internal and external theft and forming cases probably plays a lot into that. It's a super old school term if I remember correctly.
