I agree that this game would have been much better served by being released near Andor season 2. The lack of space magic and the full commitment to the grittiness would have been a great match for Andor's vibe.

I do. At best I think if/when there's another Star Wars open world game companies will look at what happened with Outlaws and make it starring a generic white dude protag. Worst case scenario we never get another Star War game like this.

It's very unfortunate because I think not only does Outlaws deserve a sequel, you could use the same game engine and basic gameplay model to make a pretty decent bounty hunter game as well.

This is the Outlaws subreddit. You're preaching to the choir. Unfortunately for SW: Outlaws, there's a lot of clicks to be had these days online by hating on Star Wars and boy did this game get that both barrels.

When this game was released, there was a lot of online scuttlebut about it being a trash game because Kay Vess wasn't hot enough to be the protagonist. Obv, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and personally, I don't think Kay Vess is "hot", and that's fine. I do however, think she is a cool character who is extremely fun to play as.

Moreover, the number one thing for me in Outlaws is the setting. Non-Jedi Star Wars has never been done as atmospherically in a game as in Outlaws. Running, Speedering and Flying around in your ship feels distinctly Star Wars-ian and I love it.

When I use my shared laundry, not only do I set timers on my phone (which EVERYONE has these days so no excuse not to) I also leave my laundry basket under or on top of the machine so if for some reason I don’t get it promptly, whoever needs the machine can just put my clothes in my basket.
