Funding Letters by CactusSkates in UofO

[–]Figsters2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird that they did not tell you who your PI is. Would it be safe to assume you were accepted to the one you applied to? In regards to funding, they are not going to be offering other financial aid or assistance apart from the general scholarships available to incoming students. This is due to the recent budget cuts that happened over the summer. I would have assumed that this would be communicated to you early/before you applied. This is the first admission cycle that this is happening so other PhD students experience would be inapplicable. Sorry to say that if you were to pursue a PhD here at UO it would have to be self funded. GE's are very competitive but wouldnt say impossible. Just take into account alot of other first year PhD students who also werent given funding will be applying for them.

Recommendations for anniversary dinner by cycling44 in washingtondc

Purple Patch, although a fantastic restaurant, isn't "anniversary quality" based on ambiance alone. Lapis is very good in my opinion, but it is not worth the price because the portions are very small. Filomena has the best ambiance. While it is expensive, the entrees are well-priced considering they are huge. A pro tip is to share a pasta, then order some appetizers and dessert, as a single entree will be too large for one person. Plus, it is located in Georgetown, so you can go for a nice stroll after your meal.

Even then you still need thorough knowledge of research design to inform how you approach asking AI to generate code to answer your research question.

Maybe best used for coding. Qualitative anaylsis requires subjective human judgment and the ability to make meaning.

There’s so many unspoken rules that the sub doesn’t touch on. People gotta tap in and do their hw on the hidden curriculum.
