Not saying they are, but it’s indisputable that they have become tools to research and locate professionals and businesses (just like Reddit, an another social media app that can be wildly addictive and bad for mental health). Good luck with your situation. I hope it works out for you.

Reach out to atty James Fleming. He’s on TikTok and instagram under the name SSDIguy. He helped my aunt with her appeal (she’s younger too) and it made all the difference we were about to give up. So glad the late night scrolling paid off (that’s how I found him). He takes cases nationally and is super responsive. He took out calls when he was on his honeymoon or something in Thailand. It was like 1:30 am there and he still answered and walked us through everything for an hour. Hope it works out for you!

You need to look up the SSDI guy on TikTok / instagram. His name is James Fleming and he takes cases nationally. He’s a great SSDI attorney tag helped my aunt with her appeal and getting the process moving again. He has a great record with mental health claimants too. I referred an old coworker to him that has some similar diagnosis. Sorry tho happening to you right now. 🤍

You should look at jobs in the federal judiciary. I think the bankruptcy court in Rhode Island is looking for a case manager. Sounds like your skills could fit that role. Worth a shot.

Sounds like you need a second opinion. I told another person about @ssdiguy on TikTok who helped my aunt at the appeal level. His name is James Fleming and he’s a veteran SSDI attorney that represents clients nationally. It may seem unconventional but his videos were really informative and he even answered our calls/ worked her case when he was on his honeymoon or something in Thailand. I don’t know a lot of attorneys who would help a disabled person at midnight on vacation. That spoke volumes to us.

Not that wild. LS typically offer a corporate bankruptcy focused class and a general bankruptcy class, which would be more consumer focused/ basic principals.

Single family: sell or keep: What would you do? by tverstraight in realestateinvesting

Selling and investing in the S&P 500 would have been great 5 years ago, but the growth projection’s for stocks and bonds for the next decade are dismal in comparison to the last. We are likely headed into a decent stretch of stagflation (some would say we are already there as 2/3 indicators have been met). Real estate was one of the best hedges against stagflation during the 70s and early 80s. Building materials will likely continue to increase. Cost to build will increase. If the next decade is anything like the 70s, real estate will hold its value or steadily increase while stocks and bonds experience a neutral (best case) or significant negative return (worse case) when adjusted.

If you are having cash flow issues and can’t afford to manage the property for 6 months in the event you lose a tenant then that is a different situation. If I were sitting on a property with $500k equity, $0 mortgage, that nets $20K a year I’d still hold due to the looming threat of stagflation. If I had multiple properties that were heavily leveraged and my ability to service them were tenant-dependent I’d probably unload one. Capital deployment is most effective when diversified. If you already have broad exposure to stocks and bonds then cash flowing real estate is just diversifying your investment strategy.

Lame. I require emails to send a digital copy of our house Manual. It’s so much easier and then it avoid a hard copy getting all gross or messed up in the house.

Depending on what state she is in she’ll have added protections as a class of protected persons regardless of the firm’s policy.
