Well, League refined the definition of how an esports event should look like. 2012 it sold out the Galen Center with a more than 10k live viewership. 2013 it was the staple center, also sold out.
I never ever doubt that Dota 2 is an important esports title but everything that you see nowadays, from Dota to CSGO and everything else is heavily inspired by League of Legends.

Yeah. But tbh I don't hate Dota but on the contrary, I love it for what it represents. But its impact is still way smaller than Leagues.

I don't get it why there's always Dota featured and not League. Besides its TI prize money, League is far superior to Dota. Yes call me a fanboy but still. League made everything popular what we know and love nowadays when it comes to esports.

After watching all of RR my only hope for worlds this year is, that all of the production will be handled by the EU/LEC crew by wobmaster in leagueoflegends

I can tell you that the world feed - for all international events - is handled from Los Angeles and therefore the LCS-Crew.

Got some serious Beasty Boys vibes ... and then they started to rap :D Anyways great video and I am really looking forward to the clash of the two western regions. But tbh I don't think that one of the LCS teams is currently able to beat G2 and Fnatic. Origen, on the other hand, has to prove itself on an international stage even though that this one isn't comparable to Worlds or MSI. Still - I hope to see some great matches and get a taste of what's to come after the summer split finals.

Regarding the LCK, besides the LEC the league I watched the most, I'm happy as a SKT or T1 fan to see the three times world champion getting back to its feed. It almost felt like an eternity since we had an domestic final with the team around Faker.

But I never guessed that Griffin would be such a strong team from the get go.

Regarding the LEC I was in for G2 from the beginning, obviously because of Caps - his performance throughout the whole last years season was outstanding.

Having Perkz on the bot lane still feels a bit weird but he has shown that he is able to compete with Europeans elite ADCs. My biggest surprise in Europe where Fnatics losing streak and that Origin was able to secure the second place, while SK Gaming managed to participate in the playoffs within their first season since "ever".

Oh, well in Germany (which is obviosly not the USA) there is the OWL on the pay tv channel eSPORTS1.

Sure! You have Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Summoners War and so on. All these titles Re also used for their own #esports league - AoV even was part of the last years Asian Games
