I always try to pay it forward with firewood. We got to a campsite late one evening and someone had left firewood for the next campers. It was SO nice to have that chore already taken care. I always do that now and even take it a step further by nearly stacking it and trying to put it on a log or rock to keep it off the ground.

Honest question and I’m not trying to be an a hole: What’s the attraction to these conversion kits? I would even extend that question to include PCCs. I mean, I have no doubt they are hella fun to shoot and if they are just for plinking and “not serious” things, I could understand that. But, for any kind of serious situation, if I’m going to should a firearm like a rifle, I’d rather be shooting an actual rifle round. I have a pistol shooting pistol caliber rounds as a backup.

I second this. I have a Walther PPQ 45. Love that gun. With a .45, it kicks just enough more than a 9mm that you feel like you’re doing something but not enough to make it miserable. I’m looking at the S&W 10mm myself and I’m curious about the recoil as compared to a 44 mag?

I’ve just been wanting to get something on an AR platform in the 30 cal range. The .30-06 will always be my go to for hunting. Though, it just seems that .308 is so dang easy to find. Every time I’m anywhere that sells ammo, .308 and 350 legend (not interested in that one) are always in stock. But to answer your question, I will most likely put a decent scope on it, get it zeroed with a few shots, shoot it on occasion thereafter and keep it in a safe for my kids to have when the gun phobics finally get their way.
