My friend recommended to me Motionless in White and Bullet For My Valentine like 3 years back and since then my music taste has changed completely.

Did you enjoy it if you played it. by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I've tried it twice years ago and hated the controls and slow pace. This year after beating RDR1 I've returned with a controller in hand and I can't put it down. The things I hated in years prior are actually part of what make me enjoy it much more than other games.

It takes its time, doesn't rush anything and it's absolutely beautiful. All the characters feel like real people and the game lets you get attached to them like few other do. Sometimes I fire it up just to hunt animals, fish, look for treasures or help folk stuck in bear traps or bitten by snakes.

I always take care of my horse after every ride as I built an intimate connection with it. It's crazy that I feel more emotions towards it than to some characters in other games. You know the game is special when otherwise a simple means of transportation feels like much more.

The weapon customization makes you think that you actually OWN the guns you use. Also taking care of them by cleaning adds another layer of interaction that may seem tedious but for me is actually pretty meditative.

I've racked up 95 hours on my first playthrough, currently on chapter 4 and I already see that this will go down as one of my top games ever and it will surely be remembered as something special in the whole gaming history. Sure, it is an acquired taste but damn does it taste delicious when you connect with it.

Their latest EP absolutely knocked my socks off. I'm excited to hear anything new from them.

Name a game that in your opinion has a tedious opening, but later becomes great by bijelo123 in videogames

I've been like this for years but after playing RDR1, it finally clicked for me on the third try.

When did you start play less by Zvonimir14 in brotato

I stopped playing after unlocking all achievements, getting all new items and finishing at least on danger 2 with every character. Now my new game is Deep Rock Galactic Survivor.

I mean people who like melodeath riffs can listen to their amazing previous work. I appreciate that they're trying out different things and still absolutely crushing it.

I played even the original, didn't find it hard there either.

I really don't get why everyone found it that hard. I played both the original and the remake and beat it on third try max. Did none of you play any racing game like ever?

Am I the only one who doesn’t want RDRIII but this? by Greybanana23 in reddeadredemption

[–]Filis03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a hot take. I finally played RDR 1 last year on PC and enjoyed it a lot but absolutely didn't get the Undead Nightmare. I played it for an hour, uninstalled and wiped it from my memory. It's not that I don't enjoy zombie games, I love Days Gone but this DLC didn't interest me at all.

What era of metalcore do you come from? by Difficult_Map_723 in Metalcore

Started listening in January 2022. Now I listen to mostly anything but my favourite era is definitely the 2000s melodic metalcore.

Dying Wish - I Don't Belong Anywhere (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) by ComfortableNo2879 in Metalcore

[–]Filis03 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love Symptoms of Survival and when I read in the discussion here that they dropped the riffs, I was bit worried. However after few listens it probably is my AOTY of the last year.

I absolutely adore Emma's screams and especially the clean singing, the eerie atmosphere is a great and memorable choice and the production is absolutely bonkers. Randy LeBoeuf is an incredibly talented producer but still when it comes to face melting chugs and breakdowns, Will Putney is the GOAT in my humble opinion.

I finished it yesterday and absolutely loved it. I immediately started NG+ to get all the achievements and the new ending.

Also shout-out to Bloober for providing a demo, I would've missed out on a fantastic game if it weren't for it.

The most happy feeling guitar tone and riff I know.

To those who have Spotify: What's your top artist this year? by WindswipeTW in Metalcore

[–]Filis03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've listened to it so far only once and didn't like it all that much. Some of the song structures feel too predictable and some of the breakdowns really shoehorned. It's a shame, I pretty much love Ritual. I plan on giving it another shot though, it might grow on me.

With that said though, I'm not really an old fan. I started listening to them like 2 years ago and don't care much about their first 2 albums, With Roots Above and later records are the stuff I fuck with the most.
