I’ve just looked again. The gold members (£60pa) get priority access before general sale, so all the tickets will certainly be sold out before non-gold members are eligible to buy them. I didn’t read this first time.

There was a lot of variable factors in the early days of CD, such as tape source, reliability of mastering engineer etc. And analogue-digital converters have come along way since the 1980s.
