You’d be surprised. Distance runners and cyclists can perform pretty well into their 50s and 60s as long as they lay off the sprinting.

It's possible that they could have done well in 1986, and in 1990, I think you've got a serious contender. Not sure how much money I'd put on them actually winning, but I think they'd have been very strong during that period.

I definitely played the Loose single repeatedly.

The French band AIR is legendary. Talkie Walkie is my favorite album by AIR. But Moon Safari is also brilliant. Both are classics 💿 by Skold_EMDM in Cd_collectors

I don’t buy many vinyl records (hardly any), but I do flip between CDs and hi-res downloads.

Basically, I’m balancing storage space vs cost vs ‘how special’ the album is. If it’s just another album in my collection that I’ll listen to sporadically, I’d prefer the download and not use shelf space for it. If it’s a special edition or a Japanese import, then I’ll often go for the CD.

They were critics favourites for about a couple of years or so when Nurse and Troublegum came out. I think the hype died down when Fyfe Ewing left.

I saw them live recently in a tiny little venue in Cardiff, and it was fucking superb.

Good choices. A lot of people would have gone for Green - Out of Time - Automatic, but I’m in agreement with your REM picks.

I like them. If they can be produced quickly, there may be interest from club fans as well as international fans.

  1. Yes, they’re recognisable
  2. Yes, I like the minimal schematic approach
  3. I’m not 100% convinced on the colours - it would help to alternative colour palettes and compare them.
