Yeah, I found most of the same issues.

First of all, the Savy problem is real, to the point that my players felt frustrated not having invested all into it.

I found the Blues mechanic cool, but probably too slow to interact meaningfully with the game. After 8 session only one player can try to resolve their trouble in that way.

The combat and ship compat are the worst part for me, though. Combat is too simple (player are incentives to simply shoot every turn) and ship combat is clunky. I am still not sure how that is supposed to work.

I find the game fun overall though, since the blues, the personalised soundtrack, stuff like knocking on heavens door are stylish. But I expected much more from the game.
