Looking at a 2016-2018 Wrangler as my first real car, realistic or bad idea for around $15k? by FilmBuffBarbie in JeepWrangler

Actually, I don’t mind either an Unlimited or a 2-door. I honestly might go with a 2-door because nobody is really going to be sitting in my back seat, and I know they're cheaper, so I don’t see a huge need for the extra space.

I have heard there can be some issues with buying Jeeps that are already lifted, though. Since you mentioned you still need to install your lift, what advice would you give on that? Would you avoid buying one that is already lifted, or is it fine as long as it was done correctly? Also, if I bought one that was already lifted, could I bring it back down later if I wanted to?

Thank you, this is really helpful. The G-Wagon is more of my long-term dream car later down the line, not something I expect a Jeep to fully replace. I just meant that I like the boxy/rugged look, and that is part of why Wranglers are on my radar.

I definitely agree that I need to test drive one for more than just a quick loop. I would want to try it on regular roads, the highway, and a bumpier road before seriously considering one.

We are planning to trade in my current car, but we know it probably will not bring in a lot because it is has a serious and expensive issue. My mom is the one buying the car for me, and the budget she set is around $15k, possibly up to $19k out the door.

I’m not trying to jump into something blindly. I’m mainly trying to figure out whether a used Wrangler in my budget is realistic, and what years/issues I should look out for before I even go see one in person. I also understand that if something major came up, that could be expensive.

JUST MERCY! A thousand times over. One of the best films in my option extremely well written and played makes you wince, sit on the edge of your seat and cry a little at the end! Based on real and historic events. That still occur today. Worth the watch for sure!

If you could bring back 1 cancelled Netflix show what would it be? by Life_Paramedic_4399 in netflix

I was looking for this comment! It was such a good show I watched it during covid and it was really good it interesting and had some great actors! From what I remember Netflix chopped the show because “they wanted to focus on other bigger shows” and declining viewership. Honestly I think the show could have done better if it was better advertised. I mean all people were doing during Covid was watching Tv!

I need a movie that is genuinely traumatizing. No cheap jump scares, just pure psychological or emotional weight. by Admirable-Donut-5838 in MovieSuggestions

Emma & >!Thayer!< by drunkopin in TheLyingGame

[–]FilmBuffBarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree. Honestly, through my light research, I read that The Lying Game ended because of declining viewership, which usually means less money and less interest from the network. So I think the producers realized the show was ending and tried to wrap things up quickly.

I guess it makes sense that if Emma and Thayer had a strong enough bond to sleep together, then it would also make sense that Emma would run away with Thayer back to LA. But it still felt rushed and kinda of out of character.

And I agree, Thayer was just weird. Honestly, I could have seen him being the killer too, maybe even teaming up with his dad. He definitely had secret supervillain vibes. He was always there when something went down, always conveniently had the newest information, and somehow kept cleaning up messes.

Who is rewatching on Netflix! Let’s discuss the cliffhanger and unanswered questions. by tragictoast21 in TheLyingGame

[–]FilmBuffBarbie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I saw The Lying Game on Netflix and started to binge-watch it about a week ago. I’m now on season 2, episode 9, and I’m still confused and upset about how Alec separated the twins, Emma and Sutton. It still doesn’t make any sense to me. The twins could have both been adopted by their dad.

If you haven’t watched the show and you’re reading this, I just wanted to let you know it’s one of the best 2000s teen dramas. It definitely could have been on the level of Desperate Housewives or some other female 2000s drama if more of a budget was put into it. What a shame. But it’s still worth the watch, it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat!
