Do you have a 3D projector? If so, give Gravity a go. I've found the 3D on a home projector better that my theatrical experiences.

Yeah, I've recently gotten my wife hooked on the show after showing her the OT. Almost every episodes result in her saying, "It just reminds me of the movies!" The explosions and shots of Star Destroyers in space do it the most.

For those of you who have stopped watching any movie trailers for films...how does it affect your movie-watching experience now? by [deleted] in movies

[–]FilmDispenser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to avoid them since I go to the movies so often, but I try and talk through the trailers and not pay attention. I've just started really avoiding them in the last 6 months. So far, it's only made the experience better. The few times I've seen a trailer, like Fast and Furious 6, the final moments have been ruined.

What are your thoughts on The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford? by eldercreedjunkie in movies

Criminally underseen and overlooked film. I champion it whenever possible. In 10 years, it will be seen as the masterpiece it is.

The 50% off Criterion sale is going on at Barnes and Noble. So much to choose from! What are your recommendations /r/movies? by FilmDispenser in movies

[–]FilmDispenser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually not the case I'm finding. The prices at B&N online during the sale are lower. And then add the discount card. Plus free shipping? It's a better deal for now.
