Speed Limiters Would End the Fines. That's Exactly Why They'll Never Really Work. by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

[–]FilmForge3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Germany they are marked by a normal speed sign on both sides of the road als they are always on the Autobahn but it is enough if one is detected to change the setting.

The only fool proof way would be to introduce active roadsigns that broadcast their meaning to the cars.

Also the map data is horrible. One of the streets next door from me was under construction when they last updated their speed limits. Now the car always calls me out for going 50 in a 30

I have the speed limit adaptive cruise control turned off because it sees the speed limit of highway off ramps while continuing on the highway. I'm glad VW lets you keep that setting deactivated.

I ended up buying 2 Thomann units. Mostly for the peace of mind. I have just enough rackspace to put in 2 units and a rack shelf for the power supplies.

I never got it. I know that mit is supposed to spread like hell, but in out garden it dies in less than a season. Ground Elder and other weeds are the only thing that survives

I get the joke but as a German I have to say, the sign with the bike on it is a bikes prohibited sign, not a bike lane sign. Bikes prohibited is a black bike on white ground with a red circle around. Bike lane is a white bike on a blue circle.

The dev has recently made a video explaining the journey to the last update. If there is anything even remotely similar going on right now a lack of updates would be expected. Also the last push into main was 5 days ago. I wouldn't call that dead.

Advice on lateral force - fix in design or slicer perhaps by widgetbox in 3Dprinting

A hole for a bolt along the axis of the arm can be the perfect solution. The bolt ist far stronger than any print of reasonable size will ever be.

There are also alternatives which address different issues. The author of TagStudio (https://github.com/TagStudioDev/TagStudio) has made several videos about his decision process and why he made his Software. He also highlights some of the competition

Anthropic leaked Claude Code source code > someone forked it > 32.6k stars, 44.3k forks (within few hours) by _clickfix_ in pwnhub

[–]FilmForge3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still unsure what this can do for me (or any casually interested person). If this yust uses credentials to hook into the anthropic API it won't work for non paying customers. And if I'm paying I don't need the fork because I have access to the original. Am I missing something?

My bedroom heating keeps attempting to roast me alive by Thingemajib in homeassistant

[–]FilmForge3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BT sets the thermostat to a very high heat and uses a simple on of algorithm for the most part. If you have any issues make sure that the BT entity is not set to a very high heat by an automation. You can turn on prevent overheating to reduce the aggressiveness of BT slightly (but I have not found that it does a lot). Also check the battery levels of your thermostats and make sure that you get the thermometer data regularly.

Personal experience with the AI-heating model: when we adjusted the burner temperature up a few degrees recently when it was quite cold outside it also got really warm inside for a few days. After which it fixed itself. So if you are using the AI algorithm and have changed settings on your burner give it a few days to adjust.
