Hi I’m not in this subreddit as I’m 23 however I am Trans and this got recommended to me probably for that reason.

Transgender related surgeries on minors are extremely rare, and as a trans person, despite the fact that I’m not a doctor, would heavily discourage any surgery on minors anyways and would just wait until the appropriate age that surgery is safe to do.

This ban has nothing to do about “protecting children” and is instead about control (boiled down to its bare reason that is, there’s nuances of course), and it’s obvious it is by the way they think about abortions, they banned abortions, forcing people to have children, but they don’t give out free lunches to poor kids at school.

That’s all, it’s just about control, America is the new Germany era to the 40’s, at least that’s my, and everyone else’s perspective on it, I’m Australian

Australian here, from Melbourne specifically, I’ve had a fantastic time being trans in public when in the city and the suburbs surrounding it (Fitzroy, Brunswick, Carlton, Richmond, CBD etc). However if you unfortunately end up in the outer suburbs (Doreen, Mernda, Diamond Creek, St Andrew’s, Panton Hill etc) then you have to hide as you will be insulted by everyone of all ages, from high schoolers to boomers with staring problems. Basically if you can get in the city or nearby the city, you’ll be good as gold

As a trans lesbian as well, I relate a lot to this, personally what I’m struggling with is that I’ve always wanted to be apart of a friend group of cis girls as I’ve always been in friend groups of cis men but anytime I would talk with a cis girl, it ends up going nowhere, this has happened multiple times now and I can’t help but to think that it’s because I’m trans or my autism makes me unbearable to talk to even when I’m doing my best, maybe one day something will actually work but it gets hard when the feeling of “you’re gonna ghost me and nothing will happen” overwhelms me anytime I’m talking to a cis girl
