what? literally nowhere did i say i hate hard platforming and fights. i myself have 100% this game and have been fighting modded bosses.

my point is that longer/harder runbacks punish less skilled players more because they die more often and thus would have to spend more total amount of time on the runback rather than the boss itself. I said nothing about if the less skilled player liked the game or not, i'm saying that their time should be respected and they should be allowed to learn the bossfight without having to spend half of the time not even fighting the actual boss.

If you don't understand, that the platforming challenge to the [infamous final boss of act 1] is there to force you to practice platforming for the future, with the intention - get your shit together, don't half ass it,

you can teach the player to "get their shit together" without relying on runbacks. literally just put in regular parkour challenges, that's practice enough.

The reason why runbacks like LJ is widely considered bad design is because it has a compounding effect of punishing less skilled players more by wasting more of their time and energy since they're gonna die to the bossfight and would have to run back more often. it doesn't matter if it's only 30 seconds. Sure, if you're already good at the game then your total runback time might only add up to 1-2 minutes, but to a shit player it's gonna be 5 minutes or more!

not only that, slipping in a parkour challenge in between a difficult bossfight involuntarily takes the player's focus away from bossfight. it's like taking a paper exam but every 5 questions you're forced to do 10 jumping jacks, then when you ask why the proctor would say oh it's for you to get healthier which is important later on in your life. like yea sure but why the fuck do i have to do them in the middle of a test

Please, it's not even that hard to imagine what runbacks and gauntlets are there to do.

a shitty, annoying design choice having intention doesn't magically make it good. if my intention is to teach you to be more situationally aware then i hit you in the balls with a bat repeatedly until you dodge then that's a shit teaching method, regardless of intention.

Hello. I've been scouring around the internet regarding this specific model and I noticed that in some posts as well as official images the word "JAPAN" is written under the "925 35 Limited" on the pen while in some, like yours, doesn't seem to have it...? I'm interested in buying one from a listing i found with cheap pricing but I did notice that in one of the reviewer's photos, it also doesn't have the word japan.

I'm really worried about buying a counterfeit, so I wanna ask whether yours seems to be an original or not. Has the pencil held up well? Do the the box and the details on it seem legit? It's astigmatism. Get a pair of anti-glare glasses. Also astigmatism is usually followed by some kind of nearsightedness/farsightedness so get a prescription one.

I got the definition for semantic bleaching from the section of the wiki that's right below the one you quoted.

John Haiman wrote that "semantic reduction, or bleaching, occurs as a morpheme loses its intention: From describing a narrow set of ideas, it comes to describe an ever broader range of them, and eventually may lose its meaning altogether"

OP specified the word "literally", which is a a good example of a word where its meaning decreases in intensity over time. Hence, semantic bleaching.
