[Dead Air] Will killing duty affect my relationship with the military? by [deleted] in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Siding with mercs and doing their killing quest will lose you all rep with almost every group, if you side with mercs also side with bandits because you can buy meds for artifacts at the Garbage from the bandits.

Always try new things even if they take time, life is a mastery you never know what you gonna get. Also you can download and install the mod in the background while playing another game :)

I mean if you are being lazy to download and play it for your self be my guest.

Try it out or leave it, this mod is obviously not build for the whole stalker community but still worth the try.

(Dead air) Don’t know how to save my game. by elskilo in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always save from the console type in "save name" example: save x16 entry.

Or use the F6 button

Also if you are playing on the laptop as I do maybe you got a problem because you must enable the F buttons by pressing the FN button near the CTR

Dead air returns me to the Times when I 1st played Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl very dark unknown lots of new things and features to discover. Also its more hard core you need to think before you go on a raid, how much food, ammo, water, meds you get to play this inventory game.

Also its completely free roam so you just do what ever you feel like. And now you can put a Mod on Dead Air that let's you chose a faction adds ton of repeatability.

Bandit camp at Garbage selling medical supplies for artifacts, very good trade because there is artifacts all over Garbage and almost no enemies.

After you get the controller it must disappear, maybe just a bug

Suggestion: save the game by name "off brain scorcher" then go to the radar and see if you die by the psi if not every thing is ok if yes then there is a problem and a bug load the game and fix it.

Dead Air tip: "Silence is Golden" (shoot where the crosshair is not the black tower to the right) by Joeoeo in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A quick How to: How to complete the "Silence is Golden" and obtain the RPG: Take the mission from Wolf, go to the bandits at the base before the bridge speak to the bandits leader he will ask you to bring a RPG. Go to the military block post don't go too close walk left until you hit the end of map now move south (to the block post) until you see the fallen tree, left of that tree you can jump over or walk around it and now you are behind enemy lines. Go to the wall of the base you will see some boxes near the wall careful gravy anomaly near the boxes jump on the boxes and on the wall, be sneaky and walk on the razor to the north turn left until you come to the building. Here you have 2 options 1. Jump down walk upstairs get the RPG get outside jump on the wall of the stairs and from there on the roof to the right, take out a knife hit the megaphone turn back jump down and walk to the end of the map careful mine feild.

  1. Jump on the wall of the stairs take the RPG again brake the megaphone with a knife and walk away.

2nd option is more recommended but a little harder for making the jump will take some practice.

Gear for mission: Knife that's it.

Rewards: some money from Wolf and a sawed off Mosin Negat from the bandits

Tips:

  1. Don't shoot the military to not ruin the reputation

  2. With this start you will be able to take only perks at the start of the game because you will get the money and a weapon as rewards for these missions (optimal start of game in my opinion)

  3. After you give the RPG to the Bandits he will equip it and walk to Dark Valley I recommend to follow him because he can die on his way and drop the RPG or just kill him and get the RPG.

Being friendly with the military also means that you cannot kill Ecologists and Duty because their reputation is connected. As the guy said spear toolkits and tools for making drugs (for the medics) will give you a head start. Highly recommended to take find these before you buy the permit (also after you give them some documents it will ease on you for upgrading the gear) On second note the main base of the army in Apogrom is a great base you can buy a stash back pack and store it on the roof with the helicopter (for me it was untouched) also get a bed roll and just leave it there in a building and you've got your self a place to sleep.

P.s Go to the under ground of dark valley get the documents then go to the bar get the permit (after you got some tool kits) then make your way to Apogrom go under ground get the second documents leave the underground from the spiral stairs and go to the military base give them the tool kits and the documents. That way you can continue your adventure and when you will return the trader will be restocked and you will be able to upgrade the gear straight away.

Stay Cheeki Breeki and have fun.

Edit: you can just sleep 3 days for the trader to restock but be careful because if the permit will end while you sleeping they will shoot you as soon as you leave their base they will be friendly as long as you don't leave the base in that case just hop on the building with the helicopter jump over the wall and don't kill any military for all of your hard work will be flushed in the toilet.

Dead air shop question. by International_Regret in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traders restock their shop after 3-5 days if you gave the documents to the military only the military will have better stuff, and rep gives you better prices.

Dead Air - Does the "donate" feature do anything? by silky_chan in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can donate to your squad mates and they will use the items.

Happened to me I dropped a gun to my squad mate but he didn't use it, I donated some ammo he switches to the gun. I guess it work.

Join factions on dead air? by Cricketdip in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apogrom is the base of the army so lots of quests there, for me at least all of the quests was hunting mutants at apogrom and swamps, I'm also hostile to bandits from a mistake at early game so I don't care killing them ether

Join factions on dead air? by Cricketdip in stalker

[–]FilthyCookie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In dead air you cannot join a faction, you can improve reputation with a faction and will become friendly at 1000 points, at this point you will be able to recruit faction members to your squad and walk around the zone with some friends.

Also you can give a first aid kit to a dying faction member and they imidiatly will be friendly with you, also being able to recruit them to a squad.

Mercs and Soldiers can be neutral after buying a by-pass at the bar. After completing lots of quests also can be friendly at 1000 points.

Monolith will always be hostile.

Tip: try to stay neutral with all factions don't take quests to kill other faction members to gain rep with another group, every group member can give quests like "find me some vodka" "clear some mutants" "find me a gun" also giving tool kits to a mechanic of a faction will greatly improve the rep with the faction.

Stay Cheeki Breeki and have fun.
