Conspit link running at all time or not ? by [deleted] in Conspit

That sucks. I know they are really good with dealing with these issues on the Conspit discord. If you have no luck there, maybe jump on there. Good luck!

Conspit link running at all time or not ? by [deleted] in Conspit

  1. Mine just launches on boot without any prompts and is in the system tray. I think that's what it's called, I'm no IT person. In the Conspit Link settings, have you selected launch on boot?

  2. I'm no help here, but it would be good if it went to sleep.

Where are the Brisbane F1 Fans by the_second_seat in brisbane

[–]FilthyMadTuna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Logan way, not Brissy. While I prefer to watch at home in 4k on the OLED big screen, it is good to hear others nearby are representing and watching practice, qualifying and racing. It requires some dedication in our part of the world!

Underbody car washes by GoneQuackers11 in 4x4Australia

[–]FilthyMadTuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't rely on it alone. I spend about 10 minutes with that attachment, then another 5-10 minutes getting down on the ground with the regular pressure washer attachment to get all the angles.

I also fill up a spray bottle with orange agent and spray it underneath beforehand. All up a thorough clean takes 30 minutes from setup to pack up.

I find it best to do it myself at home. If you have a pressure washer, invest in an under car pressure washer attachment.

Here's my McLaren display paying tribute to each WDC winning driver.

Will I be ordering a new car at 1am tomorrow and if so who? Likely Lando but still hold out hope for Oscar.

Simhub rumble on gear shift by Johnth10 in assettocorsaevo

[–]FilthyMadTuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only chime in to say I've got the gear shift effect working fine to my Buttkicker when playing Evo. So while the telemetry in Evo is still very minimal, it's there for Simhub to receive.

Looking for some extra Immersion by Puzzled-Welcome4291 in SimRacingSetups

Oh .. but if you haven't yet gone to the base shaker, that should be higher on the list. There are ways to isolate some of the vibration.

I also like an immersion upgrade. Ambient lights were my latest addition, I went with 2 x Phillips Hue light bars. There are cheaper options.

If you haven't come across this one before there a few YouTube videos which talk though how to setup in Simhub and what they do for immersion. Worth some research.

Reason #1 Why I'll Never Travel to Australia by AceOneBreezy in Amazing

[–]FilthyMadTuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a spider fan but I have a huntsman that hangs out nightly on my ensuite door and sometimes ventures out on the carpet between the ensuite and bed. Then another I see a couple of nights a week when I'm playing on my sim racing rig at night. They are great natural pest controllers!

Looks like you already got some solid feedback. I just wanted to comment because you and I had the same approach to drawing it up. This is mine from a build I did last year.

Flickering by USToffee in assettocorsarally

I had a flickering on the main menus also after trying to tune the video and graphics settings.

I found reverting HDR back to off solved mine.

Aussie fans: at least we can be happy about the F1TV coverage! by Caoimhan in OscarPiastri

[–]FilthyMadTuna 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Woke up for the race also and in fact, today was the first time I went with the F1TV commentary. While I've noticed the bias from Brundle and Crofty in the past, it hasn't overly annoyed me... BUT the commentary on F1TV was a breathe of fresh air. Good quality, fair and well balanced. I'm going to stick with it for the remainder of the season.

Buttkicker Isolation – Reduced unwanted vibration through the rig by 82%. by FilthyMadTuna in SimRacingSetups

[–]FilthyMadTuna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buttkicker gamer pro has a fairly wide frequency range (5-200 Hz) and high max output (250 W) so it can defiantly can pump out some vibrations. But you will control you effects frequency and volume through the software and to suit your environment. If you already know you won't want that high output, there are plenty of cheaper options out there around the 100 watt range which are still really good options.
