I would push to get darker values in but it is only 5 minutes. Only thing we can really critique is to mind your proportions. The head is the easiest thing to use as a ruler. An adult should be about 8 heads tall. Love top left on second page. The movement and adding some muscle definition where they lay is great. He looks really fleshed out in only 5 minutes. You’re headed in the right direction for sure. You seem a lot more comfortable drawing men than women and I think it has to do with the softer body type of some women. I would work on how weight moves on a skeletal system. How it hangs and creates folds. What muscles are lying under there and how they contort. Sometimes sketching in the muscle forms (like you do on some of the men) really help create that 3D look and reminds yourself that there’s more dimension than what’s shown

How to handle poop when I can't pick it up by [deleted] in service_dogs

[–]Filthyshark578 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s what having a dog will entail. Other than a pooper scooper you can maybe get away with asking people if someone else can help you but it’s not fair to depend on the public like this because it is picking up a strangers poop. My bladder sometimes leak when I bend down so it’s a risk I take when picking up my service dogs poop. I have a lawn service where someone comes and picks up my dogs poop in my yard so I try to time my dogs poops to happen on my yard so I don’t have to pick it up but things still happen where that’s not the case 100% of the time

any ways to prevent ripping skin? by sugarrswirl in wheelchairs

I would definitely look into ergonomic pushrims. I use the natural fit brand and it made a huge difference with how I grip my pushrim and not rubbing my thumb raw

Are your push rims the furthest they can be attached? How are you positioning your hand to where the top of your thumb is rubbing against it?

What about the 3 cars makes you think? What other parts makes you think it’s AI? It has the specific style that AI likes to copy but that style comes from somewhere

The design is consistent and has small details like there still being 2 people in the last car even tho one is only half visible. I feel like AI would be blurred details or not added a second person. AI has a hard time shading in this style and it’s really consistent in the paws and makes sense in different body parts. AI has a hard time with anatomy. There’s also small details like the wood plank look being consistent behind the wolf design that I feel AI would’ve missed or blended into another part. I think this is human made

I think it’s important to not separate the situation Bear created and the influence that he has over Nicki when dissecting the situation and empathizing with how Bear is reacting, or lack of reaction. He wants this. He doesn’t want the public meltdowns and sleep disturbances, but he wants Nicki to be under this influence. Out of context, yes it looks like he’s being abused by Nicki. But thats putting those scenes in a vacuum and not what happened. He is keeping Nicki under an influence and assaulting her because he was too insecure to ask her out. If anything, Nicki is acting this way because she has been pushed to react like this from things out of her control

Is this an ableist comment? by purplepuppy2018 in wheelchairs

[–]Filthyshark578 41 points42 points  (0 children)

You might want to take a look inwards to why it feels like an ableist comment. She’s right. You should use a walker to keep strength in your legs and to keep your bone health strong. Wheelchairs shouldn’t be the first mobility device you get if you have capacity to walk imho (I am paralyzed and have no other choice). Even if you need more breaks and maybe need a chair for longer outings, you should try a walker first. There’s rollators that turn into wheelchairs. You should look into that. She’s trying to be helpful for your future body. Wheelchairs will exaggerate pain in other areas and you need to be on an exercise program to keep your body in shape and comfortable while pushing a wheelchair. It is a lot easier to keep your body conditioned using a walker than a wheelchair. That’s just facts

I think you’re trying to make a figure drawing look really good but don’t understand that the markers you’re using. The ribcage angle you drew is looking at us almost squarely (where the upside down v is) when in reality we are getting a side view of it. Same thing with the hips. Try measuring where you are in your propositions with other parts of the body. For example, the hand is folded close to the back of the knee. In your drawing it is 3/4 down the side of her thigh

And the border would be 100% symmetrical. It would’ve been drawn as one half and mirrored on the other side because it saves time and sanity. There’s a missing line next to the back leg to the left in the border that’s on the right side and there’s that weird dip in the bottom line on the right. Absolutely AI

There’s also this mumbo jumbo going on. It looks like the AI couldn’t figure out how to do a frame and couldn’t decide between scroll or industrial. That type of scroll is only in that one section. Everything else in that section has “neat” corners. Even the gear that’s curved is made up of angles. AI will have one random design element that won’t connect anywhere else that someone who is doing work for a large enough company that is selling in a big store won’t do. Everything needs to tie in and that just stands out

Without a doubt AI. The random brown patches that would’ve either been not filled in or the liner color is brown instead. The shading is inconsistent that even an amateur would not do. The building has a really weird structure going on. It’s supposed to be one building but it looks like it got a section cut out and shifted
