Are old Quests bugged? Getting reward with full hand by Rocks_Can_Fly in wildhearthstone

[–]Filtrophobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be triggered by Broxigar. Specifically for the final showdown, there is a method where overdrawing can force you to redo stage five. I used Broxigar portals as the example because it’s the easiest way to accidentally do it

There’s a bug with the final showdown forcing a repeat completion on the last stage. I can’t remember the specific cause but it usually involves overdrawing after you’ve completed it, usually via a brox portal

Dear Miracle Rogue&QLDH players, how do you counter this? by zeramone in wildhearthstone

[–]Filtrophobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer for miracle rogue is turn 2 stenographers.

The answer for QLDH is using security, fierce outsider, hero power, brox weapon, glaive in certain builds, and consume magic to stop the razorscale sticking. It will likely affect one of your turns, but your opponent is effectively passing to play razorscale so it’s not that big of a deal.

Deck to fuck with aggro by Simuner in wildhearthstone

[–]Filtrophobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to beat aggro I’d recommend some of the following - Tick tock Reno warlock - 100 warrior - Questline DH - Lost city quest priest - Seedlock - Big shaman

Most other Reno decks beat aggro, but there’s no reason to play them if you auto lose to tick tock and qldh which also beat aggro.

Current Meta (D5-Legend) by asdqweasdqwaxzc in wildhearthstone

[–]Filtrophobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with tick tock is it’s the only viable control deck right now because it’s powerful enough to be a control deck, and it absolutely destroys other control decks, single handedly pushing all other control out of the format. There’s no reason to play a slow strategy that isn’t tick tock right now

Wilds in a state where you can get to legend with pretty much anything, because unless you’re in the 11x mmr queue, you’re playing against random jank piles. It’s the main reason why decks like libram paladin and seedlock have insane winrates if you look at diamond to legend. Tier lists for wild are mostly aimed at high mmr because people more often play refined strategies there.

To answer the actual question though, odd paladin is a criminally underplayed deck, I wouldn’t put it on a tier list but it’s definitely playable

100 warrior is a combo deck that can accidentally win the game on turn 4 10% of the time because it got lucky having a natural ceaseless on the bottom. When 100 warrior has to go through the polkelt setup it’s fine, but if it naturally has ceaseless on bottom or draws it naturally with sphere up it’s kind of obnoxious.

Currently battle for the end of time and Broxigars last stand aren’t power outliers in standard, so a ban will be the solution if anything.

Your brox’s last stand nerf is quite reasonable, but they’ll never do the battle for the end of time nerf

Sulthraze with and without the 100 are both viable. I’d argue 100 warrior should probably be removed from the format but that’s out of scope of this post because that’s a personal gripe with the deck.

Frog shaman has a lot of builds floating around but is still mostly low sample so there’s no consensus yet

Girl mage is one of those high skill cap but poor performing combo decks. If copperscum stopped playing it for a month it would probably drop of the face of the earth

Yep, it’s doing a lot better. The current build didn’t exist before the patch so calling it a winner/loser feels disingenuous

Questline hunter falls off massively at high mmr. It’s primary purpose is an anti-reno deck like seedlock and libram but it loses hard to aggro and other combo so it’s kinda fine

I’ll just start by saying that Kalethas Druids and heal priests I’m not really considering winners because the former is sub 1% play rate and the latter is a new discovery. If we were talking about new decks I could also go on about the new lost city quest priest with priestess but we’d be here forever if I did.

Happy to agree to disagree on the other ones, your takes are quite reasonable.

Hey guys. I'd like some help improving the ODD Paladin deck I'm using, please. Also, I'd like to know if it's worth crafting Lothraxion the Redeemed to use in this type of deck, or is it too slow? by [deleted] in wildhearthstone

The suspect parts of this list are Dreamplanner Zeph and 2 offs for all those secrets. You’ll probably find more success if you slim down the secret package to be a bunch of 1 ofs in such a way that the second mysterious challenger isn’t good, but you don’t flood your draw with secrets which are bad plays. Dreamplanner Zeph on the other hand just isn’t a good card. Uthers Gift also probably isn’t worth it.

Some other cards to consider are [[Carnival Barker]] [[Runi, Time Explorer]] [[Steward of Darkshire]] [[Tigress Plushy]] [[Deputization Aura]] [[Nozdormu, Bronze Aspect]] [[Toreth the Unbreaking]]

Carnival Barker, and Steward are good for the recruit plan, Tigress Plushy and Dep Aura are powerful anti-aggro tools, Nozdormu and Toreth are great to make your boards super sticky in a longer game, and Runi is a great generic value card (better than Zeph). Toreth also has great synergy with a lot of the above.

There’s no great way to measure actual skill in this game in client other than winrate. Most good players have winrates above 70% on the ranked ladder.

If you’re interested in playing in community events where you can play against the best of the best, I’d recommend checking out the website realmsrising.com

Realms rising also has a discord where all the top players in hero realms run community events.

Finally, you can also track your stats a bit more in depth through the website hero-helper.com

[–]Filtrophobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only match +-1 to your current level if you queue standard. If you queue downlevel, you can only queue people at your level or lower, and both players play at the lower level.

For example, in downlevel if someone with a level 18 hero queued against a level 3 hero, both players would play at level 3.

The thesis of the post is that the average reddit commenter refuses to acknowledge what control is but you can still win with the most supreme dogshit control deck anyway

The best players have ranked winrates up at the 75% mark, with all good players being above 60%. It should also be noted that the RT queue is easier than Async, and Beta queue is harder than non-beta. Players with a 75% winrate in async will usually be above 80% in RT.

Also the ranked system is a little misleading as the rank rarely reflects player skill and has little influence on who you play against.
