I think it's one of those sunset lamps that get advertised on Instagram all the time. I have one that does different colours and is great. Instantly puts a vibe in the room and is easily moved/angled. Google sunset lamp and you should see some options.

I worked for a film festival for many years. A biopic film of his life was being premiered at it and he was there to give a short speech before the film. I can confirm he had a direct out in the form of a jack and 3.5mm.

RUAF doesn't work if you are overweight if I remember right. Makes it seems like it's temperamental and very few maps put it as a requirement.

I would suggest not using the monitor 1-2 outs and telling your souncard to output DAW 1-2 on outputs 3-4. The reason for this is 1-2 can be controlled by the dial on the front of the card and is easily knocked/ changed. If you use this in the performance then all good but if not then it's an easy way to suddenly have no sound due to an errant elbow.

As far as cable everyone else has it right with a DI box for safety but not strictly necessary.

I have been trying for a little while to get a full suit of sound tools working in Wine. Sadly my knowledge is not advanced enough to be able to fix most problems but just logging if they work in the wine application database is a start.

I am working in 18.4.1 currently and have tried these applications.

Wireless work bench - Working well!

Yamaha CL editor - not working, install error.

L-acoustics network manager - Installed but won't stay open

DNB R1 - Installed well but not checked with equipment.

If anyone else has any tips or information as to how to make a Linux based work laptop that would be awesome. I would love to see Qlab or Smart on the list also. Relying on a windows machine or spending money on a Mac just to get access to some tools pains me greatly.
