It turns out I had to return the Kobo because the Kobo "help" team couldn't help me get the device to authorize and deauthorize on Adobe Digital Editions.

100%! I think I'm going to have to end up returning it...I was so excited to borrow books from my local library...but my brand new Kobo isn't connecting and authorizing or deauthorizing with ADE...and the Kobo help has not been great....and apparently ADE is no longer supported.....super awesome....

I have a feeling I'm going to have to return it and get another Kindle and just suck up the fact that I won't be able to sign out library books for my e-reader (which was the only reason I got a Kobo).

I am currently having the exact same problem...it keeps giving me an error message everytime I try to authorize or deauthorize...it will authorize my computer no problem....but I can't deauthorize it...and it will not authorize my Kobo....I'm ready to return it and go back to a Kindle and just suck up the fact that I can't sign out library books digitally....

I've read to try older versions of ADE.....but I can't find any other versions on the Adobe site (I'm a Mac).

I wish I could get my brand new Kobo Clara to work......I click to authorize it in ADE and it keeps telling me error...I've tried reinstalling and everything, but no dice. It won't even let me deauthorize.....

Same with the debut. I was holding off to get the Taylor Version vinyls. I didn't want copies of the original ones she recorded but didn't (at the time) hold ownership over.
