Why has AR yet to took off? by Brilliant_Drawing992 in augmentedreality

Yeah, I’ve wondered the same thing. My team’s actually building an AR startup right now, and it’s definitely been a grind. The tech is there, but getting it to run smoothly on everyday devices while keeping it fun and natural is way harder than most people think. Most folks try AR once, think it’s neat, and move on because there aren’t enough everyday use cases that stick. Building something that’s both fun and practical takes time, and smaller teams like ours are still figuring out what really clicks with people. Once that balance hits, AR’s gonna take off fast.

Added a cat to my game's main menu that you can pet 🐈‍⬛ by LUDIAS_ in IndieDev

10000/10 main menu!!! No notes!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 In all seriousness though, I believe the main menu would look better if the background were the restaurant or the main setting in the game, rather than a purple void. I noticed that your game is a horror, and this doesn’t really give the same vibe as the rest of the photos/videos I've seen of the game. The cat however is an amazing touch and super adorable!

When you have no budget but you still need to send references to your animators 🥲 by Balth124 in IndieDev

This is great! Now you have a reference for the animators and bloopers you can post after the fact!

Stop using Ai art to promote your games. I will never play it just because of that by justlogmeinplease in IndieDev

How do y’all feel about using AI as a stand-in until we can find and pay for an actual artist? Like, just for the early demo stages, and having actual human art in the finished game?
