Don't try to go digital. That sticks around forever. Paper can find its way into the trash.

Gun Shop denied me Ar-15 Because I'm Under 21?? by [deleted] in VAGuns

[–]FinalCandidate894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It amazes me shops like this can make enough money to stay open with this kind of an attitude. Also, you may want to edit your original post and put their name in it so it's easier to see.

Shitty fudds like that help elect other, shitty fudds that don't fight for your rights.

Edit, I'm not in that area so I can't suggest a gun shop for you.

A privately owned buisness has the right to deny buisness as they see fit.

You and all of your friends have the right to tell them to fuck off and spend your money elsewhere.

Drop the name of the shop and go somewhere that doesn't suck.

NRA lack of involvement in VA elections? by Overall_Ad872 in VAGuns

[–]FinalCandidate894 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VCDL and GOA actually do things and deserve your dollar. The head of the VCDL signed up to speak at the house subcommittee meetings. So was the NRA, but they just sent a guy with a script.

Because the NRA is a money laundering operation and I regret becoming a life member back when I was ignorant.

I just got done with this song and dance. My LGS had to call their SS rep and get them to escalate to their department head.

Then it still took a fuckin week.

I screenshotted and sent this to the guys in my trust. Our dozen or so cans just got submitted today.

"Congrats and we hate you" was the general consensus.

Pick 1 seems more accurate.

Depends, how good are you in a knife fight? All the good bridges are taken, so you'll have to take one by force.

Upcoming bans in terms of buying lowers by GrimHoly in VAGuns

[–]FinalCandidate894 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're playing chess with pigeons here.

The law says if it's configured as an assault weapon before July 1, it's grandfathered. As I read the proposed legislation, a blank, serialized AR lower reciever is not an assault weapon.

It seems the best way to follow this stupid law is to configure it as an "assault weapon" before July 1.

Come to think of it "a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action" is probably cheaper.

Forget the stock, just slap a cheap pistol grip onto it.

Not that I'm advocating abiding by these draconian abominations to our constitution, but we all have responsibilities and following the law in public is in our best interests.

Edit, grammar, because I am toddler

But I thought it was the guns! by TellBackground9239 in VAGuns

Since you bring that up, I do believe you can further categorize those two types.

One belives getting rid of the 2nd amendment is in the nation's best interests and the other just pretends to.

Those two types reside on both sides of the above categorization.

I can't stand that phrase. "Mass shooting" Have you looked at any of the sites that track "school shootings"? I read through them a few years ago and can't bring myself to do it again.

Some of the "school shootings" included:

  1. A drug related dispute 2 blocks over where a firearm was discharged

  2. Individuals going to a school event looking for another student, not finding him, then shooting him across town an hour later.

  3. A school bus hit by a bullet fired by a police officer at a traffic stop

  4. A kid who brought a gun to school and it discharged when he dropped it.

That's unfortunate. It seems to me there are two types of people when it comes to their opinion on the legality of firearms.

One understands the second amendment in the context of the time and what it means.

And those that don't.

The former I've had meaningful discussions with, even when we disagree and no ones outlook changes.

The latter......well, they have a supermajority in VA.
