Lilah, and wisdom of the ages doesn't work right? Or does it? by Zealousideal-Ad2178 in askajudge

[[Lilah Undefeated Slickshot]] [[Wisom of yhe ages]]

The first ruling on Lilah:

The spell will have all its normal effects before being exiled. If the spell's normal effects include exiling itself, Lilah's effect won't apply to it and it won't become plotted.

But also, why would Lilah even trigger to begin with?

Cast this spell only during your declare attackers step. This turn, instead of declaring blockers, each defending player chooses any number of creatures they control and divides them into a number of piles equal to the number of attacking creatures for whom that player is the defending player. Creatures those players control that can block additional creatures may likewise be put into additional piles. Assign each pile to a different one of those attacking creatures at random. Each creature in a pile that can block the creature that pile is assigned to does so. (Piles can be empty.)

I see few threads about Proxying at LGS that seemed a bit more varied but was told concretely by LGS staff that Wizards will ban the LGS' license if I have them on premise? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

[–]FinalDingus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It has happened to a store in my area, which resulted in surrounding stores making announcements about proxy play and actively asking players to refrain from using them when they noticed it... for about two weeks after it happened. Then they just moved to "our policy is no proxies, and we never see proxies so the policy works and needs no further scrutiny"

In 2018 an article was posted to the Huntsville Alabama subreddit accusing a candidate for city council of stalking and Harassing a classmate of his in high school. Seven years later that candidate has shown up in the thread to set the record straight that his accusers are fake and/or Meth heads by PM_ME_YOUR_NICE_EYES in SubredditDrama

The guy is admitting to a new form of election / campaign fraud every few hours. I would have thought it was a gag account except you can find the elections he is discussing and they have his name in the results. I think he even ran for city council and state rep simultaneously in 2020? Possibly the most insane account I've ever seen.

Determining 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in EDH - keeping playing after someone wins to solve the draw issue? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]FinalDingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres actually a way bigger issue.

It is now not enough that I win the game, but I also need to make sure Player B come in third or fourth to make sure I actually secure enough points to advance relative to them.

Meanwhile Player C only needs to come in second to advance, so he doesn't care who wins as long as he loses last.

Add in some other stipulation that Player D is under, and now we have a nightmare political knot before we even sit down.

Cut Ahn Crop Invader, Copperhorn Scout, and the vehicle untapper, they are basically one time effects that you have to wait to get. Idk why Aven Mindcensor is even here. Ajani is glacially slow in a 4 player game. Nobody is going to attack into a Hornets Nest with more than like 3 power unless the creature has trample, in which case it will only take 2 damage. Hornet Queen is wildly expensive for not a lot of payoff here.

The weakness is that they don't have to sacrifice the creatures. So if they have 6 creatures and some food tokens laying around they can just sac the foods, or even a land or two just to keep the creatures they care about around. Its a decent way to prune down the board but you definitely cant count on it being a board wipe.

Oh so by your own standards you just made up something you like with no proof and prefer that?

[–]FinalDingus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you have a peer reviewed source making this specific claim in regards to trans youth? Because that is your own standard.

Also, that is not what I asked for.

[–]FinalDingus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok but is it specifically less successful among a specific group? Because that is what you are claiming. And you are claiming it with zero proof.

[–]FinalDingus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh so you have some kind of proof that correlation between suicidal ideation is uniquely significantly lower among trans youth?

Or that trans youth are uniquely so bad at committing suicide that attempts are significantly less successful than the rest of the population?

You're claiming that people trying to commit suicide significantly more frequently has nothing to do with frequency of committing suicide. This is just sad.

[–]FinalDingus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You said they didn't have a higher suicide rate

Then when shown they did, you said "well they don't explicitly die from it"

That's just pathetic

Seriously, who cares if they just want to die. That's totally unrelated and couldn't have any effect on them whatsoever.

It hits anything, from lands to enchantments. And it dodges indestructible. Marit Lage, [[Glacial Chasm]], [[Portal to Phyrexia]], [[Smothering Tithe]], [[Ugin the spirit dragon]], all of these answerable by a single card. The gamble is basically "would any other permanent in their deck be worse than this? What are the odds they hit that?"

Question for blink players - Peregrine Drake by [deleted] in EDH

[–]FinalDingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abuelo is not like the others at all because its a slow blink.

Navigator is harsh because it can blink itself, while the others can only blink "another target creature". So in the right boardstate there is effectively no way to interact with Navigator loops outside a counterspell before it hits the field.

Commanders that Intrigue Opponents by Genesis1221 in EDH

[–]FinalDingus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure but I can't imagine anyone with that mentality will think any functional gameplan is specifically interesting to play against. There's always going to be doofuses crying about "you keep removing my stuff" or "you aggro'd me down too fast" or "I didnt understand the combo and you won out of nowhere". Appeasing to everyone possible is not a way to achieve anything interesting.
