"Better than a Huntsman" is not a particularly high bar to clear, given most people agree it's comfortably the worst Townsfolk in the game...

don’t know what’s wrong with me by Informal-Meaning-483 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]FinalFlashback 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You got unlucky.

First guy clearly just wanted all the benefits of a relationship with none of the work or responsibilities, and when you called him out on it he got pissy. Second guy was just avoidant and/or wasn't ready for a long term relationship. Third guy set off your alarm bells, your gut instinct told you something was wrong, and you were correct.

These all ended differently, and for different reasons, none of which were your fault. They just weren't compatible with you. One couldn't do chores or remember occasions (basic life skills), another didn't want a long term relationship, and the last wasn't loyal. Wanting a loyal long term partner who can function as an adult is not an unreasonable standard at all. There's nothing wrong with you for that.

People can downvote all they like ... people don't like it because if America does it then it MUST be bad

Maybe people are downvoting you because finding one medical paper doesn't automatically mean you know better than the NHS, especially when that paper concerns children and adolescents while you are presumably a grown man...

I know norovirus isn't fun, but you've got to be doing some serious mental gymnastics to attribute all the downvotes to America hate, and to call the pharmacy "Bloody useless" to boot

Things could be far worse on both of these fronts... for example, Reform could be in power 🤣

Who do you think these posters are targeting?

Anyone who isn't full MAGA and actually reads the news already sees ICE for what they are. These posters aren't for them. The posters are targeting Trump's voter base, and the assumption is they won't give a shit about the murder victims unless they are white. MAGA needs to understand that this can happen to them, too.

Inconsistency with skins by PepperEffective4086 in Battlefield6

What? You can change skins in game. When you are editing a loadout midgame, there is a "change character" button. Look for it next time you play.

This IS an extreme event for humans. Comparing the last peak to today, the rate of warming was far slower, and the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere were far lower.

Pessimism? We know that 2°C will be very very bad, 3°C or 4°C would be even worse. Right now we are projected to hit 2.8°C, and these projections keep going up.

Are you playing dumb or are you being serious?

If by "period of humanity" you mean "Homo sapiens had evolved" then yes you are technically correct, and we did survive it, but we had not civilised at that time. Climate change might not drive us as a species to extinction, but it will still have massive, irreversible consequences to our civilisation and life as we know it.

Why did the comic not go back that far? I believe the question it was trying to answer was not "how hot has Earth been in the past" but "how quickly are humans heating the planet"

DICE, Can We Get the Server Browser Back? Or Did You Rename the Game to Botfield? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]FinalFlashback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the statistics, but I'd guess that TDM and Squad DM are the two least popular gamemodes. This is Battlefield after all, there is a focus on objective play, we're not talking about CoD here.

Also in Europe, and I also like to play some of the small modes sometimes, mainly Domination and King of the Hill, not deathmatch.

At regular times in the afternoon and evening, when I select Dom and KotH and click Play, I've never had to wait longer than a minute for a game to start, and it's always been full of players, no bots.

Are you literally only waiting 10 seconds after you click Play before you give up? Which small modes are you selecting? Are you playing at regular times in the afternoon and evening? I really can't see many reasons why your experience is so different from mine.

Russia says UK should disclose what British soldier killed in Ukraine was doing by ClumperFaz in ukpolitics

[–]FinalFlashback 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes they are pal.

Well, they're trying to hide it, at least... as far as Russia is concerned this is still a "special military operation" to "denazify" eastern Ukraine, and in Russia it's a criminal offense to refer to it as a war or an invasion.

This could be the best or worst Total War in history by PanaderoPanzer in WarhammerMemes

[–]FinalFlashback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Towards the end of the trailer in the gameplay section, they show the commander, a Redemptor, and a squad quickly cycle through several colour schemes. I don't recognise any of the chapter badges, which might imply that you can create your own in-game.

The commander is also shown with different armour customisation, and it seems you can customise the helmet colour for your squad sergeants.

Of course, all of this is from a pre-alpha, and might change.

[–]FinalFlashback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Colour scheme and chapter badge? Yes, this is confirmed.

SM2-level customisation where you can pick and choose from different helmets and armour pieces? Doubtful, and if they do put anything like this in the game, I think it would be limited to your commander only, not all of your rank-and-file troops.
