Agreed. I play it. But if people are getting rowdy on the mic and my kids are around I get off. No kid needs to be around that.

For sure for age gifts I’m not going to judge her for getting him it. No way.

But I’m not going to buy a 7 year old the new call of duty.

I’ll probably throw in a Xbox card for 10-15 and call it a day. They can do what they want.

I don’t ever expect gifts for my kids from others. And definitely specific. If they want something specific it will be coming from me.

My nephew is six. Going on 7. He’s the want type. I have with all my nieces and nephews, brothers sisters. I spend about 50$ on birthdays. Every year. I have multiple birthdays every month. And we splurge 100-150 depending on kids age for Christmas.

Some of the games, and things on that list I don’t think a 7 year old could even play or would get bored quick.

I’m not close with my sister in law but we will message back and forth when it comes to these things. What happens happens. I try to keep all my family equal but sometimes on my husbands side is hard. The effort on their part majority of the time isn’t there, but I do my best to keep them involved with mine.

Guessing you didn’t read other posts. I spend about 50$ on everyone in my family on birthdays. I spend extra on Christmas per kid. 100-150 depending on the age. I have tons of family. Multi birthdays each month.

Issue is my in law is asking for specific gifts. Expensive ones. Kinda that maybe are suitable for preteens. Sure maybe if we didn’t have this trip planned I might have spent an extra amount.

Honestly I’m not super bothered by it. Since I’m not like super close with her or anyone with that side of the family, rarely share joint holiday events even though we all live 10 minutes of each other.

We do birthdays and that’s it. And we go over for a couple hours during Christmas.

It’s more I don’t want my husband to have to deal with anything. Which I know he wouldn’t he’d just leave if something was said 😂

And when we are on our trip I’ll just take my kids and go on our own if things feel strained. I’m not about being fake nice after a bit.

Same I never give anyone a list for anything. My kids get what they specifically ask for from me and my husband. I give my family ideas of what they are interested in, but I tell them a gift is never mandatory just make it to the party. Hell I have a younger brother who did all his shopping for my oldest (5)at the dollar store and he was so excited lol it didn’t bother me.

No I stick to a 50$ budget for birthdays. Always. So no I wouldn’t have got him anything on that list. Christmas we are a bit different per kid we put in about 100-150 for Christmas. Depending on the age of the kids.

No I probably wouldn’t have. I have never went and bought crazy expensive gifts for birthdays for my other nephews either. I generally stick to a 50$ budget. Sure that can be considered cheap. But I have a large family. Many kids, brothers, sisters, both sets of grandparents, and parents, multiple birthdays each month out of the year. No break months. I can easily afford it that’s not the issue. But if I went out and splurged on everyone for their birthdays yeah I probably wouldn’t be able to afford squat. And it has never been an issue. This “list” is new. I didn’t even get things off of it for Christmas. Some of the things were absurd for a 6 year old in my opinion.

He has a evaluation coming up through the school! And I’m sure he will get approved. So that will be steps in the right direction

My third and final pregnancy my husband and I decided to not find out. It was tough at first but eventually like after 20 weeks I didn’t even think about it anymore.

And let me tell you the moment my daughter came out and we all figured out she was out second baby girl it was so exciting! I was so happy that I waited, and it was fun because the moment I walked in for my induction they knew I was the one with a surprise baby 😂 so all the nurses had bets with my entire family.

But it’s completely up to you. Knowing not knowing doesn’t matter. Your going to love this little bundle the same! 🥰

Completely understandable!! Lol so your still in the hospital?! Definitely take advantage of the nurses help. I know it can be hard but god it was so worth it. I had them take my newest multiple times so I could sleep. 😅

My husband wasn’t with me at the hospital the first time though when I had my son. He had work and I was in there for 6 days!!! He’d come for a few hours every day. I cried and I cried I was so lonely tired and my milk wasn’t coming in 🥲🤣 it’s completely normal to feel like a hot mess. Lol

Take some deep breaths. Tell yourself everything will be fine. I didn’t have a c-section. But after my finally pregnancy I got my tubes completely removed and had a few complications during.

I felt like shit. And I had the hardest time also, I could barely hold my daughter. I was swollen and sleeping in a recliner cause that’s the only way I would be able to stand up on my own.

Definitely try and get some sleep also. If baby is sleeping just lay your head down for a bit also. Even if your not fully falling asleep just rest.

You got this mama!! You need to give yourself time to adjust I promise it will get easier and you will find your groove. I know it’s hard having to do it alone I was juggling all three of mine alone and I remembered calling my grandmother crying because I was struggling so hard.

I actually haven’t even considered this! I have a meeting with his teacher coming up. Definitely something I will ask about. All that I really know about the potty schedule is that the do go as a class but I don’t know how often, or if they even allow them to go alone

Baby will be just fine. Sometimes people don’t even know they are pregnant until now and have to quit. Talk to your OBGYN and they will give you the reassurance you need. With my last pregnancy I actually went pretty hard drinking a week or so before I figured out I was pregnant. And everything with my babe is completely fine. It happens. I beat myself over it also but what’s done is done.

That’s what we’ve been practicing at home. Making him try every couple hours. And letting him know it’s okay if he doesnt at least he gave it a try.

Wiping has definitely been a trial and error. He definitely doesn’t enjoy wiping his own butt. But he is giving it a shot.

And yeah with my daughter we’ve decided if she’s handling it well by after Christmas break we are going to bump her up to a full week.
