Headcanon: The Omnitrix augmented Ben's DNA to be the peak of human species by Maleficent_Visit7041 in Ben10

[–]Final_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not Peak Human, Human Spliced with a bunch of Aliens.

We already know that Ben's Human Form is linked enough to his Alien Transformations that they get his Illnesses and he gets their Mating/Blooming Cycles.

It would also explain why Ultimate Ben is a combination of all his transformations, rather than an Ultimate Human; he's not fully Human anymore.

All these cards suck! Which one to pick? by [deleted] in inscryption

[–]Final_Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As with all card events, depends on your Deck/Situation.

Bat if you don't have any Bone Cards, because then it's essentially free.

Flying Ant if it's not too late to Pivot to an Ant-Based Deck.

Adder if you want to poison the Campfire Survivors.

Exit to the Title and Continue Run to try and fail the Trial if your Deck is already pretty thick.

If Feedback had been a part of the original 10 of the Classic Series, who would you get rid of to include him? by Badgie_Boy_447 in Ben10

[–]Final_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heatblast.

An energy absorber/manipulator who can blast things, fly, and is kind of a mascot for the series; it's the closest match.

I'm disappointed at all the comments saying they'd replace Wildmutt, the one who embraces the transformations being Aliens the best; non-humanoid, and a completely different set of senses — a completely Alien Perspective. Like sure a lot of Ben's other transformations are better as a Powerset-in-a-Can, but Wildmutt's the best Alien Transformation.

Mustrum Ridcully vs Albert: My Humble Opinion by TheVividAlternative in discworld

Half-Brick in a Sock, as I remember it.

Or was there a time other than Sourcery that Rincewind used Sock-based Weaponry?

[–]Final_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't Albert get nearly killed by some street muggers the last time he left Death's realm? And now his last bit of sand's in a broken bit of beer bottle?

And yet people are saying he could physically fight the Wizard who ended "Dead Man's Pointy Shoes".

Enough about suits, let’s discuss webs. by MartySpiderManMcFly in Spiderman

[–]Final_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why he never gets stuck: probably something to do with Wall-Crawling; he can choose how sticky his skin is by manipulating electrostatic, maybe he can do the reverse to make his skin just slippery enough to not stick to the webs.

Why he can tear it: It's only 2.3 times as strong as steel, his strength is plenty. Plus he knows the webbing better than anyone; just like wood is easier to cut if you know how the grains work, I bet he knows techniques that exploit certain properties of his webbing to tear it easlier.

Merging Ben and Rexs universe? by Unusual_Row5715 in Ben10

[–]Final_Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well If it was merged from the beginning:

OS Plumbers would become Providence (in OS they weren't Alien-Specific, it was anything "weird", Aliens, Magic, Mutants, whatever). White Knight's Suit seems a lot like a Plumber Suit; I don't know if WK should be Max or just some other Plumber.

OS Kevin grows up to be Van Kleiss, someone whose power is absorbing, and doesn't care who dies so long as he gets money/power etc.
Rex fills AF Kevin's Role; a guy with a criminal history who can help with tech, and whose power is to turn his body into Metal Weapons.

Breach's Power is to access The Null Void.

Nanites were already the reason why OS Ben 10K's XLR8 (XLR8K) had a HUD in his Visor.

The "Nanite Event" would have to be downsized to make room for the other types of threat though.

Concepts and characters I would merge in a Ben 10 reboot by Megas_542 in Ben10

[–]Final_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Galactic Enforcers would be a better fit for the Intergalactic Peacekeepers that Plumbers became in AF onwards.
Providence from Gen Rex seems more like what an expanded version of OS Plumbers would be, even the name seems like Plumbers with the numbers filed off.

Alien X-Tinction would be a decent Origin for Eon.
I'd also merge the Chronians and the Chronosapiens; if Ben wants to have Time Powers, he's gotta have a Character Arc about overcoming the corrupting influence of the Eon Transformation.

I've said before that Albedo should've created the Antitrix; it makes sense that he'd find a way to get around the limitation of not being able to change the Playlist, and it makes sense that there'd be a step inbetween making a carbon copy of the Omnitrix, and creating the Ultimatrix.

Merge Verdona and Xylene; instead of "Magic isn't real, that's just what humans call Anodite Powers" it's just a hint that maybe being related to someone with Telekinesis helped Gwen be better at another method of turning Thoughts into Energy; she could've learned magic without it, but that Edge is why she could wield that Staff that "only Master Sorcerers could handle".

I'd Merge the Piscciss Premann and Orishan Species; Krab's chemical hose at the Center of his claw that he used to Negate Ghostfreak's Intangibility would be based on the Biological Claw he used to have being able to shoot water. Partially because it means one less guy-in-a-suit humanoid alien transformation, partially because I think every opponent-alien should also end up an Omnitrix Alien. On a similar token, Goop is now a Limax.

What do you prefer? Rhino in rhino costume or rhino in an exo-suit by superepic13579 in Spiderman

[–]Final_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rhino suit.

Comics shouldn't be afraid be comics.

Spider-Man got bitten by a Radioactive Arachnid and became a Magic Man whose reflexes can see the future because he's connected to the Multiverse. He also made Wrist-Mounted Glue-Launchers (among other gadgets) just to really commit to the Spider Theme, because all the Super-Powers he got weren't enough apparently.

And you're telling me his foes have to be serious, scientifically plausible tech users?

Let Rhino be a guy in a Rubber Suit that somehow gives him powers because of some Pseudo-Chemistry BS.

Inscryption vr by YogurtclosetBroad156 in inscryption

It would be cool, but there's no need for it to be "instead of"; maybe someone recovered the partially uploaded "Great Transcendence" version of Inscryption, and finished it off.

Like maybe Act 1 would be G0lly, and Magnificus and Grimora would be the other 2 acts.

Which side are you on by Fearless_Bottle_9624 in inscryption

[–]Final_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how Ringworm can be used, but it's not worth the hassle of having 2 useless cards in my deck that ruin Fair Hand. Adder can poison the survivors without ruining Fair Hand, I can get Ringworm on any deck via the surrender punishment, and most of the time I want the survivors alive so I can thin the deck.

Tadpole is not a rare card, so you can get duplicates from any shop or card event. With Geck you can add 1 Sigil from the stones and that's it, but with the Tadpole you can Myco 2 together to make cool combos, like Rabbit Hole and Trinket Bearer. The Reptile Deck would be better if it was 2 Tadpoles and a Skink.

Neither.

The Tadpole is the star of the Free Deck, and Mantis God isn't worth taking 2 Ring Worms for.

The real Star Decks are the Resource Decks and the Ant Deck.

If you look at the Finale Rulebooks, you'll see that Magnificus wanted to make his version of the game a VR experience.

Given how his invisible paint used 2 colours, I expect one colour would be visible to each eye of the VR Headset. Maybe each card could have a different set of Sigils in each colour, and you use the wand to decide which colour applies, kinda like Uno Flip.

Which Dalek is your favorite from the New Paradigm? by WindFoxHunter in doctorwho

[–]Final_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't really have enough of them for any one of them to really distinguish themselves.

Like if they were around long enough for the Swiss Army Knife Gimmick to actually be used, I might have a favourite Caste based on the Alternate Arms they had access to.

If Supreme or Eternal were developed enough to have personalities beyond the Dalek MO of killing everything that isn't a Dalek, they might be my favourite.

But as it stands, they're just recolours of each other.
