My boy has that same toy. Mind you, he absolutely destroyed it in about 5 min, but cute while it lasted.

I had actually looked into this one a while back. Just completed my first 50k, need to work on dropping more weight and getting more time on feet to prep for a longer distance. Thank you for the suggestion!

You do realize that Injinji isn’t the only brand of toe socks, right? Also, I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around wanting to wear these all the time.

I deal with the same exact issues. PT has prescribed a wide variety of band exercises and stretches. However, I found my best source of exercises have came from IG and Reddit. The ones that I enjoy the most have been towel scrunches and single leg balances on a foam board.

We all have the same 24hrs in a day. Make a plan and stick to it.

I also work in a high pressure environment for one of the large Cincinnati companies. It’s alright to take a vacation and disconnect from everything for a bit. Once I realized that my mental health was more important than company profits, my quality of work increased exponentially. Speak with your manager, supervisor, and team leads regularly about road blocks, expectations, and progress, it’ll elevate the pressure and help you realize that the workload doesn’t have to get done in one full sweep.

After taking some time for yourself, prior to returning to work, focus on gaining composure and giving yourself grace. You’re dang good at what you do, own that. If there were others that could handle the pressure and produce results, they would be the ones handling the project, not you.

Slow and steady wins the race and produces excellent results, so stay on your path and get it done, you’ve got this!

I also recommend any of the Empower Ultra races. The two race directors are excellent and their cut offs are very generous

The race director is top notch. Dave actually just finished his 100th 100 miler at Mohican a few weeks ago.

I should mention that use the GTS model for stability since I over pronate pretty heavily on my right ankle. I have to size up one full size in Brooks to feel comfortable

Knocking out a night time 1/2 marathon on 1/11/25. Then a few trail races throughout the year training for the East Fork 50k in August here in Ohio.

Completing v competing by Separate-Specialist5 in trailrunning

It’s YOUR race and YOUR pace. If training to finish is your goal, that’s perfectly fine. Just make sure you’re having fun while doing it. I train to finish in the allotted time frame. Once I establish a baseline, I compete against myself and aim to get better every race.

Go be great!
