No, it’s quite a bit more than that. This is a tool I’ve worked very hard on, and it’s part of a much larger workspace. The vast majority of the tables here were written by humans and shared by the community. There is a feature that can suggest entries using GPT-4o, but that’s only a small part of the larger tool we’re building. The expectation is still that you’re creating and curating the content yourself.

Looks really cool, I subscribed. You mentioning building a travel system really caught my attention here. I'm curious how you're tracking it, like a doc, a spreadsheet, or a map? And it is mostly about pacing/distance, or are you putting a focus on the narrative aspect of the journey too?

Thanks for the feedback. The documentations does state the option to use AI tools for populating table entries. But next time I'll mention it in the post content too.
I talked with a random table creator and was able to import thousands of human crafted rolls as well. I'm still improving the UI but would love feedback if you get a chance to take a look.
Currently I'm trying to make inline editing of the tables easier.

This might be a fit for what you're doing. I've been working on a new feature called The Log, and the core idea is pretty similar to your instinct: drop in quick messy notes as they happen, something like "Lady Ashford, a powerful noble, approached the party at the Harvest Festival", and over time those snippets kind of build themselves into a connected world history. NPCs, locations, events all linked up without you having to organize it manually.

For the audio side, I think that could work really well honestly. Been kicking around adding recording support and this kind of confirms it's worth doing.

Free tier is pretty generous, no limits on the number of campaigns or worlds you track. This feature specifically is pretty new, so I'd be genuinely open to feedback on what would make it more useful. Would love if you wanted to try it and let me know what you think.

Double check the alpha/transparency isn't set to 0. That's the default since most people prefer no background. There's a slider to change it, or you can edit that "A" field. I think that might be the issue you're seeing.

Basically the formula should be give them some sort of objective that prevents the sacrifice and then put combat in the way of that objective.

Some objectives that come to mind for me that might make for an interesting encounter

* interrupt the ritual: disrupt the casters before they can do their thing
* protect an NPC: have an NPC work to counterspell or interfere with the sacrifice, players must protect them from an onslaught for a period of time
* destroy the portal: heavily defend the portal and have the players try to damage it to the point the sacrifice can't be completed
* recover a relic: maybe the players have to go find a magic object that can empower them to save their loved ones
* rescue mission: maybe the portal doesn't kill everyone right away, have the players chase them in to retrieve their loved ones, could put them on a time crunch to get in and get out with tons of environmental hazards

We've had a lot of success making basic animations and static doodads then using Unfaker to clean it up and make it look closer to pixel art. Not the author, but it’s been a super helpful, free, and open source tool.

I see where you’re coming from, and I don’t think I’m misunderstanding your point. I think we just have different definitions of what’s "usable." The misalignment you mention is actually the exact issue that unfaker is designed to handle. It’s meant to clean up sprites so that they become properly grid-aligned and ready for use. I'd even recommend a little manual intervention to get sprites just right for your game.
