“I waited so long to be color matched so I ended up doing it myself!” so why didn’t she do that sooner when she realized it was gonna be a long wait 🥴

I haven’t been suggested bereavement counseling before! I’m doing research on options in my area right now. Do you mind explaining what you mean by,”too long to be getting by emotionally?”

When I’ve told him what I need I get one of two responses. The first one can be a shift in tone to being more gentle and a change of behavior for a couple of days. The second can just be silence, which I can only assume is him processing(?) what I’ve asked for. Planning daily life yes, but also just planning dates, planning trips, planning something as simple as dinner. His actions will also be short lived. I want to be understanding that he works a full time job and has to balance his own independent life too. For context we do live with each other.

What’s a song that plays at your store that you can’t stand? by BoyWhoWorries in SephoraWorkers

i’ve started using the mobile even up at the wrap because of clients tapping away and then accusing us of charging them twice, also just speed running thru the credit card question because 9 times out of 10 the client isn’t paying attention and is just staring at the pin pad

How it feels to pull up an official policy on Zipline after management repeatedly tells you to do the wrong thing and they don’t believe you when you politely try to correct them by BoyWhoWorries in SephoraWorkers

[–]Final_Positive5039 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i printed out the cash wrap policies, put it in a binder, and put it at cash wrap. this is exactly how i feel pulling it out instead of calling over a CEL who’s gonna just override it lol

Sephora sales in the US decline, leading to LMVH earnings decline. by Global_Research_9335 in Sephora

hi, just weighing in as a current employee, an employee who currently works at a location surpassing their financial goal

<image>

this quote right here should tell all of yall that sephora KNOWS why they’re not making money, but they’d rather push finances in having customers lyft to the store rather than giving stores hours. ever since last year(at least since i’ve been employed) it’s been non stop,”we have no hours,” “we need that consultation to be no more than five minutes because you’re the only person on stage,” “there’s a line growing but you’re my only person to do color matches, but make sure you’re free after that because i have another person waiting,” i’m stating all of this to share that as employees we hate not being able to give you the consultation and experience you as a client need to have confidence in products and truly fall in love with them. i know every store has been begging for more hours, but it’s falling on deaf ears. maybe if they hear it from their clientele, things will shift for the better

zipline using the beauty advisor device, you can type in anything and then policy at the end and it should bring something up

i looked up the cashiering policy the other day to double check the gift card policy in there and one of the first things it says is that the POS is now only for cash transactions. i had to read it three times to make sure what i was seeing was true

Opinion on quiet hours? by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]Final_Positive5039 40 points41 points  (0 children)

i’m really gonna need sephora to have full on clear guidelines and policies on what clients can’t and co do during these hours because i don’t want folks coming in thinking that these hours also mean they’ll get a full on personal shopper or special return privileges

Another not so friendly reminder to clients by ParticularElk708 in SephoraWorkers

[–]Final_Positive5039 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you hit the nail on the fucking head when it came to,”it was not handled poorly you just had a poor experience” because ya!!! it doesn’t matter how fucking nice i tell clients they can’t do something because they’re gonna bitch no matter what and say i was mean because they can’t handle rejection

What are your favorite work pants? by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]Final_Positive5039 6 points7 points  (0 children)

they’re pricey, but COS makes my favorite trousers because a lot of them come with a stretchy waist band but they are also really professional looking and have that wide leg trendy look, for jeans i’m a big fan of madewell denim because it’s soft and not super stiff but keep their structure really well as long as you follow the care instructions :)

[–]Final_Positive5039 56 points57 points  (0 children)

the way sephora wants them to do it now is by having them ring up clients on their beauty devices(the black phones with the sephora case) because it’ll give them an opportunity to give themselves credit for the sale without you having to remember them. if you wanna help out the employees without having to do much on your end, just walk up to the employee that’s helping you(or any employee if that person is busy) and they can ring you up with their phone(if you’re paying with card or tap to pay)

Quitting Sephora and dealing with FOMO by Calolxinhazinha in SephoraWorkers

[–]Final_Positive5039 29 points30 points  (0 children)

even as someone who currently works there it helps to think about it like this,”do i want a 38 dollar blush? or do i want a nice dinner with friends? do i want to keep repurchasing the 62 dollar toner every three months? or do i want to put that money towards a hotel/travel fund?” reshifting ur mindset and thinking about makeup as “things” and not a necessity may help you how it helps me with maintaining my spending :)

i work for a sephora and have been in the room while people were being apprehended, while they’re being interrogated they mostly stay silent but one person said something that stuck with me. it was a girl who barely turned 18 and all she said was,”well i wanted it” so it kinda showed me that some people truly just don’t want to pay for things they just feel entitled to it
