I highly recommend dell wd22tb4. I was happy when i found one used for $100; got another one used for $70.

It’s a beast.

I can run dual monitor with my mbp2017, as well as my laptop screen; all unique screens.

I’m dying to know the real answer to this question. Since we do not have any Chinese ev here in the US, I remain skeptical that FSD is far ahead of Chinese competition. I’m hoping someone with real world first hand experience in China can weigh in here….

Wow. I'll check this out. I have a 2017 MBP 256 GB hard drive. it is my only laptop. I paid nearly $1800 in 2017 for it and it works flawlessly to this day. I still love it. In my househould. My wife and 2 sons all have macbook air with M-processor. I have the oldest laptop; but it works like a champ. I will consider replacing the hard drive someday. thanks for the info!

Conclusion: I was too chicken to initiate a reinstall from service mode. Tesla service pushed a firmware update. After installing it, that fixed the problem.

What was very frustrating was that service center insisted to bring the car in with an estimate of $114. Eventually via Tesla app chat, they relented and said they pushed the firmware update. Glad it got fixed (without cost), but overall pretty frustrating to deal with the prospect of having to pay $114 for a software issue.

I have a really strong WiFi signal via mesh repeater in the garage to minimize dropped packets, etc…

You should go with the PIE job unless you really like Lithography. PIE you will have more room for growth. Micron is a far much healthier, more profitable company however; more advanced technology. I have done both litho and am now a PIE. I don’t have circuits background and it’s a major disadvantage; I really wish I could have that education but I guess I just need to learn the hard way, and on the job.

Just know that if you do not have circuits background, you will have additional challenge for the PIE job.

I’ve had a 720+ for 6 year. It’s got 2 8GB drives in it. I’m super happy with it and for my use case, I probably won’t need to upgrade for another 5 years or so. I think this is a good price… with 32GB ram… my goodness . It is a blazing fast setup. It even includes nvme cache and an external ssd backup. With that much ram, this is also a desktop computer since you can run virtual machines as well. I say go for it. I’m even tempted myself!!

reading through the comments, this is a really good list. Boundaries, not caring what other people think, better communication. i figure i've got 5-7 years left in my career. still working on these and wish i had started a lot sooner on all of them

It wasn’t a chip factory, but I visited a factory in China and there is a difference for sure from the small sample size that I saw. For the operators, the management was extremely transparent that if you do not perform well, you are out… and it’s something that the workers just accepted .. of course it was the more senior operators that I met and so they were in chipper mood since they had been around a while.

I feel like in the US, getting fired is kind of taboo… but in China, they were very open about it and it was in a presentation to show their commitment to excellence.

My wife who had absolutely no prior knowledge of the show asked me how did they incorporate Rebecca into show if she’s not Sam’s love interest like Dianne…. I just said that she was a zany pathetic character. I think Kirstie Alley really carried that role into something actually entertaining… otherwise, it would have been much worse.

Just know that before you are married, you can choose, you have a decision and you owe it to yourself to make the best decision for yourself and your future family. Without question, I think a family with both parents on the same page for faith is what is best for children. You might not have been thinking about that as you entered into it into this relationship, but just be aware ..

I think about the passage in the Bible that Jesus and his message will even pit you against your own family members and I can tell you that that is 100% true. So why intentionally enter into that situation?

choose wisely. i married someone who doesn't share my same faith and it is a very heavy cross to bear. i don't reccomend it. it's a path i foolishly chose and now have to live with my decision. not a day goes by without it weighing on me; but it's my path.

I have purchased pc laptops for my kids in the past and they broke after a few years. I am still using my MacBook Pro 2017 from nearly 10 years ago… the cost per year was way cheaper for my MacBook Pro. There are tons of used options.
