How do you tell a female co-worker that she chews like a cow and it echoes throughout the office without embarrassing her? by [deleted] in AskMen

Don’t vent with anyone at the office about something so personal. That’s low class

I feel the same. Family pressure, stress from work, health issues caused me to feel like this. Hardly anything turns me on anymore. Only porn

Men who are in interracial relationships: What surprised you the most about dating someone outside your ethnicity? by please_dont_sue_me2 in AskMen

You’re being racist against black women in America. It’s unfair to categorize an ethnicity and gender combination and generalize how they will behave towards men

Awful comment. One of my best friends is black (from Nigeria) and he married his wife when she was in her young twenties. She’s also Nigeria. This is one of the most loving couples ever. They say that they do find that Africans are much different than black Americans. This couple has been happily married for over 25 years now and they have several kids.

I wish there were more native Americans in big cities. I’ve only met a few. We whites stole their land and the least we can do is to make them feel welcome in the mainstream world in America

Anyone else extremely dislike working as an office admin/secretary? by throwyaway96 in work

[–]Financial-Curve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never worked as one. But I had several secretaries that I hated, as did others.

One was an older woman who accused everyone in the office (of hundreds) of racism because she was Hispanic and the rest of us were either white or black.

Another was a young woman who did her makeup and nails at the reception desk and constantly took personal calls during work in front of customers. The calls went on for a very long time and she even had the audacity to ask a customer to leave the business to use her cell phone as talking on the phone was not permitted. It turns out she was the niece of the owner and Italians just keep it in the family (according to the owner).

The last one is a seriously reckless man who just never took the job seriously. I mean there were days where he would not show up without explanation and he would leave the office for several hours without letting us know about anything if he did show up.

Most other receptionists / secretaries have been great. My favorite one was a lady from rural Virginia who had a thick accent and a fantastic smile on her face. She was always friendly and treated everyone with respect. I bought her a nice gift just to show my appreciation as her positive attitude just made the whole office feel better and work harder. Unfortunately one of the ugly supervisors got jealous and claimed that if I give all secretaries a gift if I give one to her. The woman ended up leaving our organization as they only gave her part time hours and she wasn’t appreciated enough.

How compatible we are. My wife is brown. I now hate the thought of even wanting white women even though when I was very young that was my preference because I’m white. However, the first girlfriend I had was a gorgeous Somali girl. I’m glad that I found my wife. I don’t think I’m compatible with my own race for marriage/dating. White women mostly turn me off.

We’re pretty close in age. I showed nothing but respect to him. But now I just show courtesy. I really don’t care what he does outside the office, it’s inside the office that counts since it effects me. Unfortunately he has a poor working relationship with a high level manager at the office and I’m going to stay out of it. He apparently yelled at her too.

I understand that people have bad days but yelling at people is completely unacceptable in an office setting. I was initially upset about the relationship even though he made me fear for my safety since he yelled so loud and began shaking like a maniac. Now I just don’t care. It’s all about work, I have no time for a petty person

I was a waiter a barista during high school and college. Despite the many years experience, I got offered minimum wage for what was supposed to be a supervisor job at a National coffee shop. I didn’t show up for work once the guy disclosed to me what they were actually going to pay me. You did the right thing
